my local stealership tried 2 scr---me legal advice
MILO replied to boneman's topic in General Banshee Discussion
ditto, and spread the word to anyone you know. bad news usually travels fast. -
i don't mean to be rude, but here's some advice: unless you know a shitload about them and buy a clunker with the sole intentions of rebuilding from the ground up... never buy a bike, then try to start it for the 1st time after the fact. outside of that, i would agree, unhook the tors and see what happens. do a search, there are plenty of threads on doing it.

i think it was just pure excitement like a bunch of adrenaline forced rambling with a lot of info that just doesn't make any sense. slow down and speak clearly: 1- i bought a banshee in pieces for $x 2- i put it together and rode it 3-it has the following problems... 4-here is the current set up... 5-please help me fix...

mine was hard to pull sometimes and slipped other times... it was the push lever assembly. the seal had gone bad and let dirt and shit into the bearing and around the lever and was binding up all the time. sometimes it would be super hard to pull, then there was nothing. replaced the seal, bearing and whole assembly and added a motion pro cable. even with all hd springs on my tusk clutch, it's pretty easy to pull.

good one... not the ending i was expecting.

MILO replied to bansheeman1974's topic in General Banshee Discussion
hey MILO i'm in the same line of work.i'm a mold operator at BRP.this is the company's website :BRP MILO do you ever go to BBDR?do you run any dirt drags? 474756[/snapback] thanks for the clicky, now i can check out the competition a little more! just kiddin, i've already been there. small world, huh... our places are only about 15 minutes apart, if that. believe it or not i've only been to BBDR once, about 2 years or more ago. pretty awesome , i hope to get back this summer. just as a spectator though. i live just on the other side of the mountain so i can hear them running late at night sometimes. -

nope... don't attach them to the motor before putting it in, just leave them hang from the frame or wait till it's in then bolt them up. just leave all the mounts a little loose till you get everything hooked up.

i told you loco would change his tune.

haha, i know what you're talkin about. no hard feelings bud, just try the search button before asking a ? . if you can't find the answer you're looking for, post away. the guys here are more than happy to help out any way they can, but you know, it's the old rule of helping those who first try to help themselves. oh yeah, and welcome to the HQ

yeah, me too, and the yfz feels like being on a blaster again haven't ridden one, but it just feels too small. i'd have to say the rappy was the most comfortable fit other than the shee, but you know... to each his own.
-
the search button is there for a reason bud. doing a search is probably your best bet before asking a question. there are a lot of common problems or questions that have been discussed over and over. people get tired of answering the same shit again and again. loco's not tryin to be an ass, just tryin to help you out. you'll get a lot more info from a search than you will from this thread. but after the 'kiss my ass' statement, he may change his tune.

good one def leppard: run for cover...he's so dangerous...don't shoot shotgun

i smoke somewhat, but keep it under control. a pack will last about 4 days. never at home, only at work. keeps me from eatin junk food at breaks, otherwise it's just kind of a stress relief throughout the day

on my shee, i pulled off the labels and didn't like the holes left or the marked up outline of the label mount plate in the fender either, so i put the label mounts back on with rivets again and put my own stickers on it instead. it doesn't stand out as much, and looks like an outline to highlite the stickers i put there instead.

i already have a chain breaker so i didn't buy a tusk one, but last summer i did buy their chain press tool. i've been pretty happy with it too. 10x easier to compress o/x rings to get the clip on the link. it's a hell of a lot better than using a mini c-clamp or squeezing the shit out of a pair of channel locks.
-
maybe it's just the pic and looks better in person. :confused:sorry bud, but i think it looks like you had a hole in your fender and pop riveted some cheap tin to cover it up so you don't get mud in your eye

make sure the crossover tube is in place and that you don't have the carb bowls swithed. the bowl with the 'starter jet' has to be on the left side.

yeah, it usually comes down to voting out the guy you like the least, not voting for a guy that you support 100%

damn chase, quit being a freekin bawl bag and move on already. holy shit! be a man, get a real job, put the shee in storage, go poke your woman or spank your little monkey or whatever. just quit your bitchin and deal with it. this isn't a soap opera site. if i wanted this kind of shit for entertainment, i'd go watch Lifetime movies with my wife, not get on the HQ.

best way too clean my mud covered shee?
MILO replied to Mullet Man's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i guess i take the cheap route. i just hose it all down really good with the garden hose to soften up the mud, let it set for a few minutes, hose it off again and most of the caked on mud falls right off. then wash it all up with armor all car wash. not saying armor all does anything for it, but it's what i use on the cars so it's what's handy. works just fine since i'm not out for a show bike. i ride, i get muddy, i clean it up... go do it all over again. no big deal if it's not buffed and polished -
we don't get much riding in this time of year here in central pa unless you have 4x4, except for the unusually warm days we've had. so if you can't ride'm, you might as well read and talk about them, even if it is the same old shit sometimes. it is entertaining to see some of the off the wall things that come up though.

too bad the water is usually, uhh... MUDDY!! you might laugh, but when i've gone on really muddy poker runs, i've taken baby wipes, yeah i'm a daddy of 2. they're clean and wet and work great to clean off your goggles. that is of course in a stop and go situation where you have time to piss with them.

if you're lookin for quality, you can't go wrong with a Ruger. i have a P93DC 9mm, and a GP100 .357 (6"). both are excellent guns. i've yet to shoot a deer with my .357 but i have with my dad's gp100, and his super redhawk .44. i've never had any problems with either of mine, or the old man's. just stick to Ruger magazines for your semi-auto. i've tried a few aftermarket ones and they always jammed. my Ruger mags have never jammed.
