pro circuit provides a main with the pipe....i think its a 280...pilots remain stock...needles in the stock position......according to pro circuit.....
-
my pilots are 50's....im with pro quad, with a 15 up front and my shortened swing arm i can about loop it in 5th....i run a 17 up front cause i wanna do 85 across the desert...you mentioned a trinity engine, i have a second shee with a trinity motor it feels stock compared to jims motor.... if you cant pull a 15, you have serious jetting issue's, jim at passion would certainly help you out, id trailer that bike and pack a over night bag and head his way, long before i said his motor sucked.....whats a "Rocket Pipe" anyway?.......
-
it looks like your brake line is bent too
-
i run mine like that too, just a pinch rich, that way if i wanna pin it for any length of time im ok....i think the 34's are a good combo on jims motor with a decent intake and reeds and some air flow......... mine rips right off an idle, even geared real tall it pulls hard .......i cant see running stock carbs or anything under a 32 with this motor, just doesnt make sense.....follow jims recipe and im certain your motor will run well, some of his last post was a polite way of saying i told you so...........pj 34's will wake that motor right up.....and with the 34's jetting is not a pain in the ass........
-
ill second that, life is good with a fine tuned passion motor
-
bigger carbs.......

hope this helps

Rear Axle Width Compared To A-arms
Blue Duece replied to dnhyoung's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
i use the +2 arms with offset rims on a stock axle for mx and it works great, i also run a +2 axle for desert, ride height helps in cornering -
i went through a few also tat, the less expensive ones are cool, but a way different design than the scotts, and nothing like the on the fly adjust of the scotts, but at 475.00 verses 120.00, shit id still take the scotts after having both, not to piss on the denton but if you need to hang on at 80mph plus the scotts is the ticket, i went through several dentons and finnally sprung for the scotts and man what a diff, but its like anything else you get what you pay for, and the denton is a hell of alot better than nothing, but the scotts you can be smoking down a trail and smack a boulder with your right front tire and not even feel it, where normally the bars would get jerked out of your hands or fly down a straight and let go of the bars at the top of fifth and not eat it, but for simple head shake the denton works well, you can aslo swap the scotts between bikes in about 5 minutes, i can take the scotts head off my Cr and bolt it on the shee in about the time it takes to slug a beer down, but at 475.00 you got to be serious about hanging on, some guys dont wanna spend that on suspension.....

wasn't it that tithead??? awwww shit tat..i think your right man

heheheheh Stan, who was it that was doing wheelies at 125mph on his banshee?, i still want that guy to autograph my bible......... thanks Mike i tried to cover it........... as you know i have 2 shee's one has a stock arm,the other a -2, when i just go from one to the other i swear it feels like im driving a "Station Wagon" with the stocker, but the stocker might be a pinch better if you wanna stay above 75 mph for any length of time on a fast flat desert road but otherwise my moneys on the -2, and of course that doesnt pertain to sand, i think, and thats just my 2 cents, the stocker blows for trails and tracks and all around riding, the balance is all wrong.......
-
yeah i would clean it out......the best scenario is you can eat off your intakes......some guys will oil the shit out of the filter then adjust the air and pilots accordinly, dirt in the cumbustion chamber is wear, clean intakes is the best way to go
-
man thats the best way to roll...most of my friends have been riding for years and if im not feeling a jump or hill will let it go, i had one friend raze me about hitting a road jump and he was on a cr i hit it on his bike then offered him my quad and he pussed out, quads are so much different than 2 wheelers......like mike said if you feel it out, its a slam dunk, but if your not completly behind the jump, let it go.....better to not kill yourself or trash your quad than impress your pals. specially on a long jump.....little stuff, just hit it on the pipe if you over shoot it, worst that can happen is you'll stuff your bars down your throat but the longer jumps be careful you could die, or worse die and f*ck your bike way up......

Trade Rear Shock For Aftermarket Rear Shock
Blue Duece replied to sheerider4life's topic in Swap and Trade
ill sell ya my rear elka ssd for 800 bucks you keep your stock shit..... -
yeah i would say if your not a little scared youd be dead, but id call that careful.... we take home made ramps and hit them ramp to ramp in first gear then second, third and so forth you just start scooting them apart pretty soon your doin a 60 footer ramp to ramp and i agree with Locogato, if your scared dont do it, but once your commited dont back off ive seen tons of guys get hurt trying shit then backing out halfway, the ramp thing helps me alot because ive learned to judge distance, where your going to land is more important than what your going to launch off of, my favorite is a long slow down hill then i cant over shoot any thing and if i get a bad launch can straighten up, its hard to land on flat shit and not take a hit.....just dont be stupid or have buddies dare you to try jumps your not comfortable doing, theres a hill by my house that ive climbed on 2 wheelers, but dont take my quad up, i think i could make it but its tall and steep and if for some reason i dont i could just bail, but i dont wanna see my baby roll down a hill and surely get trashed, it not worth it to just say i made up.....
-
yeah thats what i thought....you can play with the oil level, but the nitrogen charge needs to be a certain psi regardless of the oil level, cool so your back in action.....i would look for someone local that can service them every so often, i pay my guy 75 bucks and he will replace the oil and charge all 3 of my elkas for me, i dont know if thats a good price or not but his shop is 5 minutes from my house so it works out well
-
you wont find the adjustable elkas for 3 bills

Calling All Computer Geniouses-help!
Blue Duece replied to erbilabuc's topic in General Banshee Discussion
whats the guy want for it?....the software is free so thats not a biggie and is useless without the hardware hence the semi pro digidesign 002, the mics junk, a pop filter is nothing but a coat hanger bent into a circle wrapped in panty hose, a few mic cables and a drum seat..... i think the only thing worth anything is the mac and the digidesign box.....i have alot of clients that use a mac and semi pro, protools rigs so they can do pre production at home then just bring a firewire drive to me and i simply open there file and can continue the project locked to film and multitrack machines -

f*ck it man no sence in gettin balled -
yeah i should have said plus 3 overall..my bad......most alignments i think should be for the terrain your in and such......i can see the 9 degress castor for the sand cause your mostly trying to straight line in the dunes, or dragging.....i tend to like no drag on my front end so ill go with a slight positive camber and little to no toe, it coasts real nice that way, and then i reley on the stabilizer for high speed head shake......
-
unless the owner claims that when it got jacked it had a motor with T-6's on it, then unless you can prove that you didnt sell the motor out of the hot bike you got poped with....... id say yer screwed
-
.........well take care Rick it was nice shootin the shit with ya, hit us up when ya get out...............naw im just playin dude....jesus this really blows, just dont let this hit your record it could haunt you later, better pay now and have it be done, im with most of the other guys this kid needs an ass kicking he wont soon forget, heres another tip....2 broken ribs (one in each rib cage, this is very important!!!, the same cage and he will still draw breath without pain) these can be broken simply and without bruiseing and leaving little to no sign that Rick paid him a visit, then every time he tries to shit, fart, laugh, cry, piss, cough or simply breath he will recall the day he fucked Rick.......good luck buddy......

Duce are you really running 3 deg of POSITIVE camber? Yikes! I run 1.5 deg of negative camber, 9 deg of positive caster, and 1/4" toe in. Negative camber is when the tops of the tires lean in towards the centerline of the vehicle, make the vehicle turn in hard and promotes good handling at high speed. Caster is the spindles inclination forward or backwards if you were looking straight down on top of it. POSITIVE caster works with camber through the travel range as long as the camber gain is minimal, tough to explain without a graph but think of it this way - have you ever tried driving your car realy fast in reverse and attempted a precise steering manuver? Feels strange right? This is the effect of NEGATIVE caster. With some tinkering on your camber / caster settings you can really get your bike to handle great. yeah i am..... a degree and a half each side translates into a 16th of an inch both sides...you cant even see it,...ive tried positive and negative...my desert banshee is at is -4, but my mx bike isnt, its ride height is 9 inches and it tracks like a slot car....... i set it up on my goodyear sponsers alighnment rack..and theres a 16th of play(slop) between the two ball joints, 9 degrees of - castor seems like alot, but i guess in sand it dont matter ......i race on tight tore up tracks in socal and the less the castor the faster the front end reacts to steering input, but a -9 would help for high speed...... why not get a scotts steering stabilizer and have the best of both worlds, i can let go of my bars at 90 mph and track straight as an arrow, there 500 bucks you can get one at www.scotts.com...and thanks for explaining castor and camber to me.......
-
and dont tell us this is the bike jim just ported, if so i think im gonna be sick too......
-
im with boon i think your kinda screwed on this rick, i wouldnt agree to anything for a lesser charge thats admitting guilt and will go down as so....say youll pay the thing but with no charges filed against you......and heres a future tip.....no pink slip no deal and make sure the guy selling the bikes name is on the pink and the vin# matches the pink
