  4. I like my Tag bumper, tough & shines up easy.
  5. Congratulations Scott, Mom & sisters !
  6. I don't know if this is the same kind of times your talking about, but heres what I got that maybe close to what your asking. I ran three 300 ft. timed sand drags last summer at Little Sahara OK. 5.69= 58.2 trap mph (almost red light, shit start) / 5.05= 65.5 trap mph / 4.96= 67.5 trap mph. The other banshees in each of these races ran faster times than mine. I had never ran timed before. It was running very good, about as well as could be expected for my mods. Was allot of fun anyway, hope for a little better this year.
  7. Just want to tell everyone what high quality polished billet parts for my Banshee I got from this place in San Jose. They are the best I have ever dealt with, excellent communications, fast ships & really go out of their way to take care of their customers.
  8. Thank you for the link to Chris's case savers. He sent me back a note on the price, $20. He also supports BHQ members with no shipping costs. I'm ordering one. Modquad has some nice parts too. They also sell some case savers, one in aluminum for $30. I think. Thanks again.
  9. I did a search here and read some about using case savers & that they are pretty cheap insurance if your chain breaks. I searched E-bay - no listings under seach for "Banshee case savers" Was this the wrong phrase to search with? Any ideas where else I might get one? About what do they cost? Thanks, Cannon
  10. I would like to buy a set of Banshee front fenders. I'm looking for an extra pair I can race cut for sand. Color not important, going to paint them anyway. Would like to buy from an HQ member. Let me know what you got. Thanks, Cannon -
  11. You have to take that flywheel nut off, hold the flywheel from turning. Try putting it in gear, have someone hold the brakes on. Air tools would help, but if you can hold the flywheel from turning you can break it loose. Be care sticking anything in too far into the flywheel holes to hold it, your stator coils are pretty close under there.
  12. Thats the place I got my trailer from. It was in Ozark Mo. Just south of Springfield. I got the 6'X12' with side loading & new white spoke wheels & new 15" tires for a little over $700. Single 3500 lbs. axle. It measures 76" between the fenders. They got any size/type you want at reasonable prices. Tim moves more trailers out of this place than you can believe. I'm very happy with mine, excellent people to deal with too.
  13. I just got a billet polished clutch cover insert off of Ebay (speed150 seller) for $24. shipped. He has them in billet smooth polished for $21. shipped.
  14. Anybody around Kan City or western Mo. have any used race cut front Banshee fenders for sale? Not looking for mint or brand new. Just want for dunes. Thanks
  15. Hey guys, My stator coil had two screws come out of it. It got into the flywheel a little. I used blue lock tight, don't know why they came out. The stator wrap didn't get hit much at all it may be OK. If it's not I just have to get a new one. I glad it wasn't the crank, still going to have it trued & welded. Thank you all for your reply's In my time of sorrow! It will be back screamin' soon I hope, instead of crying. You all are sure nice to help. Cannon
  16. I had a bad Banshee experiance today. Practicing second gear drag starts. All was fine, made a couple of 300 ft. passes, just had got off the gas and Banshee died like I hit the kill switch. Would not fire, I do hear a grinding type noise as I slowly hand push the kicker over. I pulled the head off, piston tops look good, cyclinder walls, very smooth. Motor will turn over but somethings definetly wrong. I did a search here on cranks separating, read about 25 or so posts about it. This may be what happened, I don't know yet. I understand about them coming apart and how having them true / welded is worth doing. Does this sound like what happened to mine and why would it shut down like it did? Sure is a sickening sound. I got some work ahead of me. What do you think I did? Help! It is an 03' Banshee low hrs. maybe 40 - my basic mods are: T5's - Noss head 20cc domes - V-Force reeds - RS timing plate @ +4 advance - 4" swingarm extension - no air box K&N pods - 380 mains - TOR's Kit - Run 32:1 Klotz red - 93 pump gas. - No porting done - stock unwelded crank (you probably figured) Better get your crank insurance, I should have.
  17. Happy Birthday Stan ! Tell us 'bout the good ole' days! Many more to you.
  18. You will need a flywheel puller. Make sure you use one designed for this flywheel so you don't damage it. Their not too expensive, or you could borrow one from a buddy. Air tools help alot when getting the wheel loosened too. Meat helped me with great instructions to do mine. Let me know if you want a copy of it. Wasn't too hard at all and I learned a little more about our ride.
  19. I have the Ricky Stator adjustable plate. It is a good mod IMO. Set mine at +4, bike runs great. You don't have to rejet. $35. plus ship. Easy to do after the help I got from guys on this forum. (Thanks Meat) You'll like the advance no matter which plate or route you use to get there.
  20. Hey 03LE, I have that same grill on my 03. They are easy to catch a rag on when your drying or polishing them...But a great looking piece. Where you at in Ks? I'm about an hour south of KC. Cannon
  21. Banshee0028, I have Vforce. They and added considerable all around. You probably have a little more compression than mine with your 18's I am not sure when there is a need race gas or at least a mix of it & pump gas. I run 20cc domes and am going to advance timing 4 deg. I have 160 lbs compression both sides. With no more compression than I have, I wonder if there is any danger of detonation with straight pump gas after the timing advance? Thanks
  22. Found it, thanks. Any suggestions on what degree of advance I should run? Looks like a very good price for it. Will it add much with the few mods I have on my Banshee? I have an 03' with T5's, V-Force reeds & 3/8" spacers. Run 32:1 Klotz red. 380 mains, stock pilots. K&N pods-no air box. Noss head w/ 20cc domes. TOR's removed w/ kit. Stock porting for now. Would you reccomend this plate over a flywheel key? Run's OK with these few things but you always want some more!
  23. Thanks MR MATT for the address. I don't find them on the page. Any other place I could find one? I don't trust myself to mod my stock one. Thanks
  24. Where can I buy a new Ricky Stator advance timing plate? Thanks
  25. I'm 46 and feel like 16 everytime I ride my Banshee. Wally, Flea & me, still hangin on to two strokes. I think they help keep our youthful figures intact, well permanent grins anyway.
