Alright guys,
Im not stupid in anyways when it comes to automotive repair, i have worked on cars, trucks, motorcycles, planes all my life. i currently work at a mechanic shop. so here is the deal. i have been trying to save my buddy some money trying to keep him from taking his car to a shop for repair. its a 90 pontiac firebird 5.7 and it will not start. heres the short story. he pulled up to a bar, went in , came out, and it wouldnt start. i didnt take my solis snap on scanner out there yet to see what was wrong but i did check fuel and fire. the fuel pump is running, how much psi doesnt matter now cause i have no fire. i did check injector pulse and it has none. it does have power to the injectors but the EMC isnt grounding them. with no fire or injector pulse im thinking the module or pickup in the distributor, well neither was the problem. so far have changed the coil, module, pickup, EMC still no fire, can anyone lend any helpful thoughts?
