My 2001 Rm125 is having issues and I don't know what to do. It was slipping in and out of the powerband before I rebuilt it. So I rebuilt it with all New OEM stuff. Put a new govenor in it and still has the same issue but worse. Now right when it's suppose to get into the powerband it just kinda is stuck right before it. My clutch was creeping a little when in gear but not much. And after the rebuild my bike is running alot richer as far as how much smoke is coming out of the pipe. I really don't want to dump much more money into this thing. But I have a clutch kit coming. Could this all be a wiring issue or something?
Reeds are solid. No air leaks I will be taking carb apart tonight. How do I test the wiring I have a nice mulit meter but I have never tested wiring before
Used snipers are almost non existent and go for twice that of Shearers if you can find them. New the price is the same but you don't get chrome with sniper and the wait for Snipers is unknown. I know people that have been on the wait list for over a year and production is currently stopped. If you think you'll order a set and have them in a few weeks you'll be disappointed. On a side note, if you're going to have them chromed do it immediately. After the first time you start the bike with them the number of shops that will chrome them goes way down and the price way up. I own all three sets of the pipes we're discussing. Every motor is different but Im very confident Shearers will make equivalent power up top to the Snipers although you'll loose a little down low. For a hillshooter CPI shouldn't be in the discussion imo. Sent from my HTC U11 plus using Tapatalk
Cold seize is when the piston and or rings have too much friction with the cylinder wall and have an intimate dance with one another..... scoring. Happens when the engine is cold, and usually happens with someone running cheap premix at 50:1.....
too many rabbits in the hat to go into what premix is good at what mix ratio....
Run quality oil at appropriate mix ratio and let the engine warm up before beating on it.
Yea you need to use the correct sealant. Regular form a gasket, rtv, or ultra coper, black sealer wont work.
Yambond 4, honda bond, threebond, or permitex Moto Seal.
If your looking at a car parts place, Moto Seal is probably goign to be your best bet because it is made by permitex.
