  1. Just wanted to let you guys know about this company I saw on Ebay that makes these really cool spark arrestors for your Shearer pipes...they look exactly like the tip of the Shearer silencer does and compliments the look of the silencer without looking like some weird add-on...eventhough here in California I ride 99% Sand Dunes and Desert and Sparkys aren't required for those areas, it doesn't hurt to be prepared for any riding environment, so I bought 2...I was inpressed! https://www.ebay.com/itm/153991733836
  2. Hello guys, going to Pismo Beach on the 19th of July, 2021... I have an 87 Shee ported with stock-stroke, 66mm bore with OEM carbs bored to 28mm and they have a ProTec kit which includes a new needle, clip on top, and 410 mains, I also have the stock airbox with the single K&N plus the filtered K&N lid that K&N sells for the Banshee, also running a set of Shearers and I feed it Sunoco 112. This is my first time at Pismo Beach with this set-up. It's been my experience, that Pismo being at sea level and having very dense air with tons of oxygen, that place could be a 2-stroke killer and in the recent past, it's killed 2 of my motors on a different bike, so I'm attempting to take every precaution possible...please, if anyone can get me to a safe lebel I'd be very appreciative!! Thanks
  3. After reading your post and the answers you received, I'm interested in knowing what was your original jets starting point in jet sizes you had in the carbs prior to the change so as to see the differences and increase percentage.. I have basically the same set-up you do, except my Airbox as yours, has a single K&N, but my lid, is also a K&N filtered lid...I also have a ProTec kit in my OEM bored to 28mm Mikuni carbs and my regular (non Pismo) set-up is stock idle jet, 410 mains and clip on the top highest location. So I'm thinkin for Pismo, bringing the clip to the center location and installing a 430 main...don't have an idle jet that's larger than stock, so maybe get a 30 like your post suggestions state...the ProTec kit doesn't affect idle, so I feel "stock" numbers apply there...
  4. I have a Tiger Racing 520 Shee and my Selvy-built Zilla whipes the floor with it...guys...remember it's not the bike, it's how is built, by who, how much torque and ponies it makes and lastly, how well it's set up for where you're draggin...Quadzilla motors are actually damned good motors, 500cc of long-strokin' counter-balanced torque and horsepower...I'm surprised you guys haven't figured that shit out by now...I'm not saying that my Zilla is the world's fastest quad by any means...just saying my Zilla has already beaten many modified Banshees...not all, but many...
  5. Man...JDS' website is a total mess...they have what I need, BUT you can't make an account, you can't call, you can't see "the cart", you send an email and when you press "send" it just sits there and spins and doesn't "send"...WTF?
  6. I've been in the drag racing game since the 70s..these Pyramid cages have been around since like late 80s that I can remember, they aren't really that popular and if they were any better than others, they would have exploded like the VFs did...so yeah, the Pyramid Valve has been around for decades, but one seldom hears anything really impacting about them...I'd say stick with what works for like 90% of the users...VFs or RADs...I have a set of really well ported and massaged RADs for my ATC 370R with an ESR-ported 41mm Keihin Air Striker and the torque and HP I gained were to say the least "great"...but in the quest for speed, I just installed a 46mm Lectron on my 85 370R Tripod and I'm going to try a set of VForce's that in my garage/shop, I ported and massaged to match the carb bore and the UPP intake I needed to fit that Lectron...so far during the heat cycles, the motor sounds and feels like a beast...and she revs smoother than with the RAD...just my 2 cents...
  7. I have one of his pipes on my ATC370R and it works extremely well with the port timing the cylinder has...
  8. Mr. 97Screamer, A BIG THANK YOU for that link...I so appreciate it...I have a few questions for Kenny, so thanks again!!

  10. I spoke with Arlen once and he acted like his shit had no odor...I felt he was just a total dick..
  11. Skeeter...i called once and he (Arlen) was just a total dick
  12. I'd love to, but not too many people do them other than LED and not too keen on doing business with that Arlen dude
  13. That is a great piece of info man...thanks...I have been told by a few that the Shearers are the best for my application...im going to have my Cheetah-Cub cylinders ported by Tiger Racing in Jurupa Valley, California...he also recommended Shearers...thank you!
  14. Excellent...thanks for your time...didn't mean to bother...just wanted to make sure...again, I appreciate it...
