Ring bent and broke on intake side then bounce around the top of piston wrecking the dome parts of the ring in top of piston parts of it went out exhaust . I'll take some pictures when I'm home tomorrow.
^ That’s a good start. But seeing the damage is how you figure out what happened. Is the ring melty and bent, or cracked clean and twisted? What does the edge of the piston crown just above the ring look like, etc.
