  3. Leave the head on. Bend the solder in an L shape and get it over the direction of the wrist pin. Roll the motor over so it smushes the solder. FYI, make sure the solder is filed smooth after you cut it and make sure it goes all the way over to the edge of the bore where it meets the dome angle.

  5. So slightly ported with CPI n pods and your running 290s with 100 over pistons. You definitely have have throttle cable play issues and sync issues. Have done a squish test yet . With that overbore I have seen the pistons kissing the fire ring on the dome and slightly lifting it allowing fluid in. . Might be something to look into. I always back my idle screws all the way out set cable play/pull then set idle sync with a vacuum guage. IMO your jetting is lean for your mods . Are you sure the quad shutting off isn't a seazure ? Your plugs can also look fouled from antifreeze seeping in. I would make sure those domes are clearance enough for those pistons just to be safe. Is there any signs of deto on the plugs or pistons tops

  9. DID U FIND OUT YOUR PILOT YET u need ur bike to be able to idle and ride first before u can do the mains. That is gunna have to do with your pilot and slide height 1 Sounds like your carbs are not Syncd properly 2 sounds like your threads on your carb body are effed if metal shavings are coming out. 3 take your idle screw all the way out and hit ur threads of that thing with some pb or wd and loosen that jam nut up all the way so its not so stiff. Its possible that who ever tors deleted your carbs didn't grind down the part where the idle screw goes in far enough and ur not able to screw them in far enough to get it to idle.

  10. You have SLP pipes if i remember correctly, i have shearer. I turn a lot more rpms than you when WOT so it will be harder. That's my 2 cents. Why do you have anything other than stock springs with a lockup? That's making the clutch harder to pull in for nothing.

  12. Oh. Well then.... sand will load your bike very hard and put a lot of strain on clutch. My 421 i was referring to were hill climb bikes and i never got out of 3rd gear. Dune riding your usually in higher gears making it harder on clutch. Like i said before, I personally would get a clutch kit from redline and try that. If it dont hold, you can always add lockup/cover. If you were only riding only dirt id say you could have 400 hp and not run a lockup.

  15. You will need to at least do a dual pingel petcock and it would be wise to gut the gas cap vent.

  16. They are done and I don't blame them. Everyone looking to save a $ buy from amazon, ebay, China cyls and parts, ect.. Then bitch when it doesnt bolt right on or fail after a few hrs.. and wonder why the small shops are closing there doors. Leases, utilities and keeping parts in stock isn't cheap, but most purchasers are.. you wonder why the one or 2 guy shops are closing down. Spend a few $s more and SUPPORT YOUR SPONSERS!! Ohh yea they have to pay for that too (to be a sponsor and advertize)
