  1. Thats an easy statement to make when the upper body might need replaced as well as the shaft. You can find yourself paying the same amount of money for a repair as you would a new one. Been down that road.

  3. Just because it has the same eye to eye measurement doesnt mean anything. You need to measure the actual exposed shaft to ensure that you have the same travel length.

  11. Either im blind or it isnt on the fiche. Can anyone tell me the part number for the bushing that goes in the lower portion of the stem. Its the part that goes on before the washer and nut. My 2001 has one but my 2000 doesnt and you can pull the stem up a good 1/4 of an inch if you snatch it. Does anyone have one laying around?

  14. I havent seen too many of these rods snap like the 29 l/r's. They seem to be okay except the big end bearing on these are flimsy and imo shit. Just get the 158 rods from hot rods. Part number is 8158. Markings on rods are ck158
  15. Im sure you have tried but gave up when frustration kicked in. Those races are not welded in. They may be rusted but they will come out. Fold them in on each other. Take a punch and bend it off of the inside of the swingarm. Use a small punch that will get in behind it. If you can bend it away just a little bit all the way around, then you can spray lube in there and let it sit. Use a dremel or an angle die grinder like the photo and cut the race in half by inserting the bit into the swingarm tube and grinding down thru the race to the tube. do this on the top and bottom to make the race 2 pieces. Then use the punch to knock it loose.
  16. Every 4mm hotrods i've seen already comes welded out of the box. Some builders will reweld it and deem it a deep penetration weld.

  20. Ok. You told him on the 26th that you were shipping them within the next 2 hours or so. He didnt contact you for another 6 days and you still blew him off for a tracking number. Then you post a pic of you giving him the bird as if he is out of line. You words via the message was that you were shipping them on the 26th. NOT the 2nd if Dec. His post probably caused you to ship the pipes.
