i just put the 27.5s in and still nothing, i even hold the throttle half in and it still wont start.

i do have spark and i did try starting fluid and it started a bit on it. i have 27.5s ill put those in today. I thought my compression was decent since stock is around 110

Hi there I have a banshee that is running stock carbs with porting,toomey pipes,cool head with 19cc domes,uni in box air filter with lid, +4 timing I am at 2400ft just wondering what any thinks the jetting should be at. I believe it needs to go up a pilot size I am running stock but it has a bobble off throttle but pulls good up top. Any suggestions would be great thank your u

120 isn’t great compression. Do you have spark? Have you tried starting fluid? I bet it’s not fuel related, even though your pilot should be 27.5.

Thank you for the reply💯 So the quad was partially built by some dude named mike, mike sold it to me and i brought it to my father friend tommy, who went full out on a fresh rebuilt and melted the top end. I got it built by my friend (stole my extra parts )&(whos father killed 2 prostitues) in boces and got a tors kit for it 4 years ago and the quad went full throttle on a fresh rebuild. And now I finally got the drive to work on it, i took the head cover off and there was some scoring but nothing crazy, i couldn’t feel it with my finger, and comp tested it and got 120 even. -The cross over tube is present -the float bowl with the small brass ball on the bottom is on the carb with the choke -and the slides are on the right way -the dimples on the slides are also lined up woth the window -air fuel screw is 1.5 turns out - idle screw is 2.5 turns out

Well let’s start small. Is this the first start since the rebuild? Why was it rebuilt? Who rebuilt it? -carb crossover tube in place between carbs? -float bowls on correct carbs? (They ARE side specific….) -carb slide cut out facing rearward? (Yes you can install them backwards) report back. don’t just randomly throw parts/money at it. Usually it winds up being something simple that is overlooked.

Hello all im in need of expert assistance!!!! So i have a 96 banshee that got a top end rebuild (bored over 2mm) and it wont start. Everything is stock except for the bore and fmf fatty gold series power core 2s, and a tors delete kit. compression is 120 for both💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪 Carb has been cleaned and rebuilt (280 main 25 pilot) I also adjusted the floats to 21mm from where the gasket sits to the highest point of the float, Reeds have been cleaned and fitted with new gaskets, Fresh fuel with 32:1 mix on 93, new spark plugs(healthy spark). I live on long island where my elevation is sealevel. Im at a loss the plugs are bone dry and the bike wont even turn over a bit. Why isnt this fucking thing getting fuel?!?!?!?!!? I might just get new 28mm keihn carbs from my local shop (diggin racing) for $450 but i want to make this happen with what i already have Any and all help is much appreciated, this is also my first post so please give me pointers as to how i can not be a dunce. So.. yesterday one of my friends that I ride with and I went to the local dealership because he needed some Klotz Super Techniplate. He wanted to buy 4 -16 oz bottles of it and when he picked up the 16 oz bottles of it he said something doesn’t feel right about the bottle. So then he picked up another one on the shelf and he said that it didn’t feel right either. So we went through all the ones that were on the shelf and they didn’t feel right either. So we got the parts department manager and told him about it and he came over to check it out and he agreed and said something isn’t right with the bottles. He then took them all off the shelf and put them on the counter and he checked them out and they all had the same manufacturer lot # and date code. So then he took one and opened it and the bottle was factory sealed from klotz and no signs of it being tampered with. He then went on to checked the content inside the bottle and it was fine. He then went into the service area and came back with a ratio rite cup and dumped the entire bottle of klotz into it and then we found the problem. The bottle that was labeled to have 16 ounces only contained 14 ounce. So for all the guys who buy the 16 ounce bottle of any type of 2 stroke oil and mix it with 4 gallons of gas, start checking to make sure you are getting the FULL 16 ounces of 2 stroke oil. What do you guys think of KENDA Bearclaws?! I have tried them out on my cousins arctic cat 4x4 and they HOOK lmao Thinking about getting them for the shee!

Thanks for the input. I currently have a fairly new set of kenda kutters. So far I like them, but Im always looking for tires that people seem to like! The kenda klaws and cst pulse seem to be popular choices.

I own a set of CST Pulse HT’s mounted on my stock wheels and I have a set of Kenda Klaw XC’s mounted on my alba racing beadlock wheels. I have only owned the 2 sets of tires for a couple months now. I love both sets and it’s really hard to pick which one is better because they both perform about the same on the type of terrain that I ride on. Have a 2006 stock banshee I am looking into putting fmf pipes on it to open it up a bit more. Don’t plan on boring it out or anything special just all stock besides the pipes. What’s the safest set up? Just wanna keep it running healthy also located in minnesota so well above sea level I’d assume?

They make a few different ones. What ones worked good for you?

I personally like and currently use Kenda Klaw XCR 6 ply front (20x7-10) & rear (20x11-9) tires and they work excellent in all types of terrain that I ride in. As an added benefit the rear tires can be used in 2 different directions. One direction for soft surface and the other direction for hard surface. When it comes time to replace these I’ll be purchasing another set in the future.

CST Pulse are good. All of the Razr looking tires are trash.

Whoever wants to give their two cents on what tires they think are the best tires, specifically for the banshee, would be awesome. Grip is the main objective. I know this has been discussed on here, but the threads are quite old. There is a lot of new tires on the market since 2005 lol. Plus, tires are a fun topic anyway!
