Rods ?

I have been looking at getting new pistons and I keep seeing for a lond rod or a short rod?

How do I tell which one I have.

I know this is sounds stupid to most of you but I don't know what to order.

do a search and you will find more then enough info to decide. The differance in the two will not make a differance in power, its a logativity of your motor thing.

I have the following markings on my crank ( H.R. 204 ) and these markings on my rods, they are Hot Rods (C.K. 121 ).

Anyone have any idea what they are exactly.

What is the number stamped on the top of the pistons?

the number on top of the piston is 513m06650

It is a stock rod length motor.

 

513 Series is for stock rods

 

If it was a long rod it would say 795m6650

 

Looks like your banshee is on its last bore too. Better be finding some replacement jugs.

513 is stock rod

795 is long rod

842 is Racers choice HP. It doesnt say weather it is for a long or regular rod. I would assume that they are for stock rods. I would try those pistons out. They probably have a little larger piston windows in them.

whats C.R. 158 mean?

Magz, I have not found out what the casting numbers indicate, but im going to keep searching. I'll let you know what i found out. I sent an inquiry in to Hot Rods maybe one of the techs can enlighten us. If you find out anything please let me know. Thanks
