I borrow movies from friends or rent them

and use these programs to burn a copy for myself

http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/DVD-...nload-4128.html

^^^^^^^^ this shrinks the movie from about an 8 gig to a 4 gig so that you can put it on a regular DVD-/+R

and this burns it to the DVD

The only movies that will not copy for me are some movies that are made by Lions Gate

Like the Saw movies

for "backing up" my movies (to rent or borrow and copy a movie would be illegal) i use dvd fab platinum.

it does one to one backups and also does compression backups (standard 8 gig converted to 4.7) with full menu's. it also does conversions to ipod, psp and cell phone formats...

you can download a 30 day trial here...

http://www.dvdfab.com/download.htm

i've heard that you can download a crack to unlock it but that would be wrong. iv'e also heard that if you attempt to find a crack for said program to make sure your antivirus and spyware programs are up to date because most sites with said crack are prone to viruses/spyware.

fab usualy stays pretty up to date on the latest encryption used by the major lables.

if you purchase the program for "backing up" your movies then you get unlimited updates to the software vs. using a cracked copy (which i would never recomend cause it's wrong) where you would have to use untill you get too many movies you find will not back up for you then you have to get a new version and crack...

i use mininova and leecherslair which is way faster than mininova, but you have to seed back some of what you download or you'll be banned.

it's well worth it though you get some crazy d/load speeds

if your interested pm me your email and i can invite you

download vuze..its a bittorrent downloader..then go to www.thepiratebay.org...anything you could possibly think its there

and dvd flick is a good program to encode the files from avi. mpeg. or whatever you want

after that take the audio and video folder and just throw it into your burning program like you would music and burn the folders onto the dvd

I use dvd flick also, I just hate that it takes so long to convert. I sometimes use XConvert, which is pretty good too.

Do you have the time or patience to go through this kind of bullshit? I know I don't.

Be careful with that file sharing software.

Minnesota Court Awards RIAA $1.92M for Theft of 24 Songs

Court is adjourned in the high-profile RIAA case against Jammie Thomas-Rasset for the download of two-dozen songs: a Minnesota jury awarded the Recording Industry Association of America $1.92 million in their suit against Rasset for sharing 24 songs on the Kazaa P2P network. Rasset is ordered to pay the fine to four major labels for damage compensation.

Aspiring mathemagicians among you might note that this amounts to $80,000 a song, far more than than the $9,250 the RIAA originally sued Rasset for in 2007 before the case was dismissed as a mistrial. "There's no way they're going to get that," Rasset is reported to have said, calling the figure "kind of ridiculous."

The $1.92 million figure might indeed seem a little ridiculous, but keep in mind that the RIAA likely pushed for a high fine to make a statement in their ongoing war against music piracy. The RIAA has stopped suing individuals for music piracy, and has shifted their strategy to target Internet Service Providers, but there are still about 10 unresolved cases against users accused of music piracy.

Is this the beginning of the long-rumored backlash against the RIAA? Moby seems to think so. And radio maven Jerry Del Colliano mused that the only way to end illegal downloading is to "sue everybody under 30. Everybody." As Billboard reports, the huge claim could actually backfire against the RIAA; a Sony BMG exec who testified at the trial even admitted he was "shocked" by the verdict.

see where that asshole fucked up was he shared what he downloaded lol..they have an assload of legal pages and whatnot on piratebay and limewire sayin if you dont share your file folders and whatever you download your good..but the downside is most of these sites will limit your bandwidth or ban you if you dont share..but then you download a bittorrent downloader like vuze and they cant really track it because you arent gettin the file from one person or one peer..its from multiple networks of ppl and you get it in pieces from ppl while its downloading..it probably didnt make sense the way i wrote it but if you look some things up on it the bottom line is dont fuckin share it without a bittorrent downloader
