2kbansheerider Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 Ok so im thinking about polishing my cylinders and casings i just bought a dremel tool. Is there any particular dremel fittings that work good for these areas? also are there any waxes that work real on these items? what kind of job would I be taking on. I did the head and it turned out real nice i know the case and cylinder are alot harder. does anyone know how long it takes to do a job like this any tips would be great. THANX  Quote
Animalman294 Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 There was a few posts a while back about this very subject, but I can't remember what type or polishing compound they used. You may try to do a search and find out that way, but the pictures of the polishing looked really good.............. Quote
mopar1rules Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 the only thing to polish is the exhaust port. you want some roughness to the intake and transfer ports to help atomize the fuel mixture, so don't go polishing them. Quote

shee4speed Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 he's talking about the exterior of the motor for a mirror finish.Like said before,do a search and you will find some nice info. Quote

XxMeltIcexX Posted July 19, 2008 Report Posted July 19, 2008 Dremels work for small projects but the wheel and tips go really fast. Do yurself a favor and get a Die Grinder. http://www.eastwoodco.com/jump.jsp?itemID=...temType=PRODUCT and the various fittings with compounds (tripoli and white rouge preffered). But yes, do a search, I believe RNBRADs polish guide has been deleted finally after all the years... Great write up.. Quote
