johnny boy Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 A picture is worth a thousand words...or in this case dollars. what brand was it so that we can all stay away Quote
dajogejr Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 Don't know what you guys are talking about...looks fine to me. It's one of them super light cut pistons for them drag bikes. I'd run it....LOL.... Yeah, from that kind of disaster, your tearing a motor ALL the way down and checking EVERYTHING... You need anything, let me know. Quote
badassbanshee479 Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 try having that happen on a brand new cub motor with less than an hour on it!!!! damn v force twos with there bs screws that fall out!!! Sucks man!! let me know if I can hook ya up with anything! Quote
mybikeisaturd Posted July 2, 2008 Author Report Posted July 2, 2008 That is what is left of a Pro-X piston it lookes like it broke right under the wrist pin and then the rod beat it to pieces. All of the pieces in the pic besides the one big piece were found in the pipe. The other piston has a crack most of the way around and was ready to let loose soon but it is only the beginning of my problems. Bent the rod, knocked the crank out of true and put a good size hole in the cylinder wall. I feel a stroker cub in my future. Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008  I would like to see the other one as well... Quote
mopar1rules Posted July 2, 2008 Report Posted July 2, 2008 sorry to hear of your disaster man. i never had trouble though with the pro-x pistons that i have ran and am currently running though. dunno? Quote
mybikeisaturd Posted July 3, 2008 Author Report Posted July 3, 2008 Hey guys, I just wanted to say thanks for the offers to help find parts. I need to figure out what all I need and I will get to asking around. Just wanted to let you know that I appreciate the offer. As far as the pistons go, I will not be buying any more of that brand but I am sure they are fine...just seems to be part of my destructive personality. Quote
