locogato11283 Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 what oil are you running? i would run klotz at 40 or 50:1. its a good mix and burns out pretty clean. as for jetting.. i would start with 280 main and 27.5 pilot. do a wide open throttle plug check to see how your mains are and then adjust accordingly.. dark = rich = go down on the main tan = good = leave the mains alone white = lean = go up on the main Quote
twizted269 Posted June 17, 2008 Author Report Posted June 17, 2008 im running with stock jets i believe. cant tell what the markings are. it has a k&n with outerwears pre filter in the stock air box. i also run mc1 oil. plugs are showing rich but that could be the rich oil mix also. bike runs great but was thinking i should jet accordingly. i dont know what elevation im at though. i ride in mid and upper michigan if that helps. mopar1rules Posted June 17, 2008 Report Posted June 17, 2008 start out at a 300-280 main, stock needles, stock clip position, stock 25 pilots, 1-1/2 turns on the pilot screws. you may need to go up to 27.5 pilots, but mine is fine at stock pilots, so i would start there. Quote
