DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 I got a 2001 shee. Every bolt on mod you can do without touching the engine internally. I got 500.00 to spend. What can I do for the most bang for my bucks. ONLY 500.00 guys. thats it. help me out. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 So what are you wanting to spend it on the motor? If you got everything already that you can bolt on i'm taking it that you want to start doin some motor work? Quote
DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 So what are you wanting to spend it on the motor? If you got everything already that you can bolt on i'm taking it that you want to start doin some motor work? yes, the motor. Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 First thing first get a nice port job it will be the biggest bang for your buck and you'll have a little extra to spend on something else Quote
gregrob Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 List out your mods... I would go for some porting. Quote
DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 any suggestions on who to send it to? Quote
DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 any suggestions on who to send it to? cpi pipes k&n open air filters boost tube. vforce 3's. jetted for the open air filters. pretty much every thing you can do to it, with out turning a bolt the engine. Stock bore and stroke. stock pistons stock motor. Quote
gregrob Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Definitely send it to Herr Jugs Racing and get some porting. Tell him your riding style and he will set you up. Porting, a top end kit, bore and hone would run you 500 or a little more maybe. Next would be to get rid of your stock carbs. Quote
DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 thanks. also, why do I need to remove tors. what is it? Quote
KaosBanshee44 Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 thanks. also, why do I need to remove tors. what is it? TORS is junk and looks like shit on top of your carbs all they do is screw up your carbs. Get rid of the boost bottle it does nothing but crack your intake boots. go back to the stock crossover tube TORS is a Throttle Override System that shuts your bike down if your slides get stuck Quote
gregrob Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 TORS is throttle over ride switch. It's the big retarded boxes on top of your stock carbs. You can just unplug them and that will prevent them from working. They keep the throttle from sticking wide open, that's their purpose. They make tuning a pain, and are in the way ALL THE TIME. You can get a TORS delete kit that comes with the non-tors carb caps, new throttle cable, and idle screws for which you have to drill and tap your carbs... Quote
DopeyTripod Posted June 5, 2008 Author Report Posted June 5, 2008 great info fellas! I'm calling Kevin @ Herrs in the morn. I'll keep you guys posted. Quote

jamebo Posted June 5, 2008 Report Posted June 5, 2008 Yes I agree, a coolhead would be another good choice for a mod..... really nice power increase. Quote
