awaitedshee Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 ok for future reference i wanna know a ball park jettin for my shee im 1000 ft above sea level and my cylinders are somin back with a mx port job from HJR and i have dmc alien pipes, k&n clamp ons timing advanced +4, v force 2 reed valves, stock head milled 35 thousandths, tors removed. the jetting currently has 280 mains needle on the 3rd clip. and stock pilots. only reason there is 280 mains is because the person that owned it before had dyno port exhaust on it and it ran rich as sin....so any help towards the right direction would be helpful thanks! BellicoseBanshee Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 Call HJR, they will tell exactly what jetting you need, and more than likely it will close to spot-on (and if it is not, they will point you in the correct direction). Not saying that Dan doesn't know what he talking about, but HJR will know what is best since they are porting the cylinders. Toomey needles have six grooves, so the fourth groove is a good starting point with those needles... Quote
