overide tranny

i tore my cases apart today before assembling the cub and found that one of my gears that wcr cut for the override is broke off and was laying in the bottom of the case.i see where it come from and the weird thing is it looks like 6th gear,looking at my clymer book.its a 1-5 nuetral down.what is 6th gear used for?

well the override is just cut for 1-5.. youll have to clutch to get into 6th. i would call them and see whats up.

Butchs overide is a 1-5 down no 6th I dont understand why he would still have 6th gear in there

not sure.its the 6th gear on the secondary shaft(one with sprocket on) and the ears slide into 2nd gear on that shaft

forgot to add its a dunable overide and also the 2 shifter forks for that tranny shaft had some pretty nasty grooves in them. so i put 2 new ones of them into today

most 1-5 you either remove 6th gear complete off the shaft or remove the pin off the shift star so it wont shift into it.

well if its a duneable i would think that theyd would just leave it in there.
