did those of you that have done this all drill and tap the holes yourself? i have had alor of expierience drillin and tappin i was just wonderin how many of you did it yourself and if anyone ever messed up

It really is very simple to do. Just put a broom handle or similar inside the carb to keep the drill bit from contacting the opposite wall. Tapping is easy, you will be fine as long as you follow proper tapping procedures and use tapping oil. Be sure to clean the carb well and use compressed air to help remove the filings.

As with anything, I am sure someone has screwed it up, but time and common sense will most likely lead to success.

Yep simple process, drill, tap, and square the boss that the screw goes in. I did mine on a mill, but would have not problem doing it with a handrill and some care.
