RIPPEN Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 When my bike had the yellow/black thing going I had my frame silve.. And although I REALLY do dig the pics of the bike posted above.. I liked how "clean" the silver made it look.. I would look into something silver but maybe like said above, check out different "kinds" like the vein or somethin.. RIPPEN Quote
screamningthrottlebanshee Posted May 13, 2008 Author Report Posted May 13, 2008 (edited) I think im going to lean towards getting it powdercoated silver but the local powdercoater wants $185 to do a silver with a clear coat... is that expensive? Can you powder coat the front arms with the ball joints in them? Edited May 13, 2008 by screamningthrottlebanshee Quote
glamisduner22 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Hey, your bike and mine have the same colors. Here is how my Banshee looks like with the stock frame color. Quote
ny98banshee350 Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 i didnt kno powdercoating was given a clear coat but a 185 is awesome i think and i know ppl on here have coated there stock a-arms so! Quote

Yeah i did some searching and i think im gonna paint the Front arms and powdercoat the rest. They guy who i get to powdercoat is a good freind, I usually just get him to put a clear coat over top for extra durablity Quote
lilmikey Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I think im going to lean towards getting it powdercoated silver but the local powdercoater wants $185 to do a silver with a clear coat... is that expensive? Can you powder coat the front arms with the ball joints in them? you can powdercoat your stock a arms, but most of the time it will damage to teflon lining inside of the ball joint, and they will tend to be a little notchy. your best bet is to either chrome them or paint em with some good quality paint and plenty of coats of clear. On the other hand if you have aftermarket a arms, you can just remove the ball joints and powdercoat all you want. just my .02 cents, hope it helps. take it easy Mike. Quote
lilmikey Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I forgot to mention one of my banshees is yellow and black, I have a pic of it in the images section. it is under the topic my project shees or something like that. if that pic isnt good enough let me know and I can email some other ones I have of it. I actually built it for my son. later Mike. Quote
