hollisatp Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 I'm curious. I would think that if they milled it should be perfect? I'll try the sand paper to see what I get! Thanks I'll get back to you guys. Quote
papa_smurf49319 Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 (edited) straightedge and feeler gauges, i dont know the exact tolerances but that is how you check it to see if its warped. Thats what it sounds like. Check the head and the deck of each cylinder! Edited April 16, 2008 by papa_smurf49319 Quote
hollisatp Posted April 16, 2008 Author Report Posted April 16, 2008 ok I think I got it. I found that the jugs must have smacked into each other when they were either inthe shop or when in transport. They both had the lip raised up on the inside where they meet. I will try them out tomorrow hopefully thatis it! Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted April 16, 2008 Report Posted April 16, 2008 Raised damage to the cylinder mating surfaces will definately keep the head from sealing correctly. Good find... Quote
