jbooker82 Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 You need to adjust the center screw on the pressure plate until the clutch arm is in line with the arrow on the case. Some people go a little farther and make it slightly to the LH side of the arrow if you were stiing on the bike. josh Quote
Leadfoot350 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 You need to adjust the center screw on the pressure plate until the clutch arm is in line with the arrow on the case. Some people go a little farther and make it slightly to the LH side of the arrow if you were stiing on the bike. josh Its a little different than that. Take off the clutch cable from the clutch arm on top of the case. The with your hand push the clutch arm towards the clutch side of the bike. It should have a little free play kinda like on the clutch lever on the handle bars. Adjust the screw in the middle of the pressure plate to where with your finger you can slide the clutch arm on the case a little and it should point to the arrow. When you take your fingers off the clutch arm it should not be pointing at the arrow. When you push the freeplay out it should then point to it. Hope this helps. Quote
flyRTby Posted April 14, 2008 Author Report Posted April 14, 2008 very helpful information!! just ran into a little squeeze though.. im not getting any clutch pull.. i can squeeze my clutch lever on the handle bars... until it points to the arrow on the top of the case but then nothing.. no "clutch pull" if that makes any sense.. its like i can remove the slack but nothing else.. dosent feel right. all advice appreciated! thanks again! Did you remember to put the ball bearing back in the middle of the clutch? It sometime falls out when you disassemble the clutch. Hope that helps Quote
J-Madd Posted April 14, 2008 Report Posted April 14, 2008 Make sure the splines on the pressure plate line up with those on the inner hub. Just 'cause you can line up the bolt holes doesn't mean the splines line up. Move it around a hole, then see if they line up That's most likely your problem. Quote
