rigger Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I just brought home a 2000 Banshee with Blue plastics. They have the normal wear and tear on them. This Banshee was rolled once and the blue plastics are white every where they were bent. Is there a good way to try and restore them or just forget about it? I was thinking of putting a heat gun to the white spots to see if it brings back the blue color. Any body tried this before? Any way to take out some of the scratches? Thanks for any tips. Quote
BaNsHeEs RuLe! Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I have Blue as well, 2005, I rolled mine pretty good and had the same white spots and stress marks. A torch will take most of the white out, not all of it , but you won't notice them unless you look close, especially on the back. I wouldn't try it around bolt holes, I fired up the holes in the front plastic!!! But yea, just slowly heat it up and bend on it a little and poof, white gone!! Quote
Bansh-eman Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 heat.. use a small torch to heat them up and it should come out Quote
rigger Posted March 21, 2008 Author Report Posted March 21, 2008 Cool. I will give it a try. I thought maybe some heat might do the trick. Thanks. Quote
Bantor Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Just wanted to say this group has provided endless info and input about any question a banshee owner could come up with. Quote
Animalman294 Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Ya, I used a small torch before on some blue palstics and the white marks mostly came out some better than others, but you don't notice them as much............. Quote
