  1. I am not ready to start making lines yet. If I were, I would be glad to hook you guys up. If and when I do this, my first orders will be discounted a good bit. In return I would expect feedback, good or bad, on them and hopefully a good word to your buddies about them. Right now I am in the homework stages of this. I have a really good lead on a getting lines made and I really want to get the equipment to make them myself so I am sure that you would be getting what you want. Special orders would not be a problem at all. I am also trying to find a source for colored lines but have had no luck on that one. Stainless steel fittings looks like a good possibility that I may make standard on the lines. What I am looking at doing as a whole is building a web site that is related to off-road brake needs. Lines, pads, fluids and so on. Try to carry what you would need for brakes in the off-road industry. Please keep up with your thoughts and tips. I want to hear from you to help me make the right choices about what to do and what to make. Thanks again. I really like the input. Good or not good.
  2. No, I have not posted much on this site. I only owned a Banshee for a short while. All thoughts on the subject would still be great.
  3. I may be starting my own business, something in brakes. If I were to make good stainless steel braided brake lines, would you buy them and what would you expect? Price? Any thoughts would be great.
  4. I have a complete good running banshee that I may part out. I don't want to do that just because I would rather sell her as a complete machine. Just trying to get an idea of what she might bring if I were to part her out. I have had it sold twice and both times the deals fell through.
  5. How much is a good running, complete banshee motor worth? Motor is all stock. Still on stock bore with good compression.
  6. 2000 Banshee in Charleston SC for sale. $2500 gets it. Mechanicly solid, normal mods, runs great and looks pretty good. e-mail me for info on it at [email protected] I can send you all the pictures you want.
  7. As of this moment, the banshee is sold. It will be paid for and picked up Monday so for the moment there will be no part out unless something falls through.

  12. Thanks for posting the pics for me.
  13. If I could get a pictures to post, I would put one up.
  14. I have a 2000 Banshee for sale in the Charleston area of SC. It is still running the stock motor with about 120psi on both sides. Por-Circuit pipes and silencers, opened up air box, jetted spot on, Fairly new clutch, New tusk nerf bars, Tusk handle bars, new brake pads, new chain and sprokets (geared down a little for the woods), new swing arm bearings, new front a-arm bushings, Douglas rims (they are a little dinged up but roll straight and true), front tires off of a 400ex, rear tires are Pure sport Bandits that I cut for better traction, flushed and replaced all fluids. Plastics are in ok shape but they do show the norma wear and tear of an 8 year old machine. It starts and runs great. It is plenty fast enough. Selling price is not set but there are several other Banshees in my area selling for an average of $3500. I will consider any reasonable offers on it. I will also consider possible trades for a 400ex, z400, maybe a 450 depending on price and what it is. I can answer all your questions and e-mail any pictures you want. e-mail me at [email protected]
  15. well then I guess tha is just the way she is suppose to be.
  16. $3000 plus is what most of them seem to be going for around here too. This one was listed for $3500 when I bought, but I talked it down to $2200 cause it needed a few things. There is another one for sale right now where I live that is older for $3500. I was thinking of maybe putting it up for around $3000 since she is not very pretty. I guess she looks pretty good for 8 years old. I would rather sell her as a whole than part her out. Just seems a lot eaiser.
  17. Looking for opinions guys. Thinking of maybe selling the Banshee. If I do, should I sell her as a whole or part her out on ebay? Here is what she is. 2000 Banshee. Not in bad shape but not show room by any any means. Not much time on the motor. Still running stock motor with about 120psi on both sides. Fairly new clutch. New chain and sprokets, brake pads front and rear. All fuilds flushed and changed. Cooling system is in good shape. Front a-arm bushings all replaced. new tie rod ends, new swing arm bearings. Dougless wheels front and back that are a little beat up but still roll just fine. Front tires off of a 400ex, rear tires are cut Pure Sport Bandits. Banged up front armadillo bumper, new Tusk nerf bars. Pro-circuit pipes and silencers, boost bottle, AC rear grab bar. Fenders are blue and have the normal wear and tear on them but really for the age, they look pretty good. Runs like a bat out of hell. I would rather sell her as a whole but if it would really bring a lot more money, then I may consider parting her out, if I decide to sell her at all. What do you think she is worth as a whole and what do you think it would bring parting her out. Just to let you know, I have about $2500 total invested in her. Thanks for your thoughts guys.
  18. All of the moving parts and free, work and move just fine. From the sounds of the way you guys are talking, a stiff steering Banshee is not normal. So I am guessing that I have a problem. I will have to keep checking it over untill I find something. With the front end off of the ground, steering is light and free. It is only when you are moving that it feels stiff. Kind of like when you get on the pavement with your atv, you know how it gets harder to steer. That is kind of what it feels like in the dirt. Not that bad but not to far from it. I had a friend that had a Banshee years ago said his was the same way.
  19. Done all that. Toe is just under a 1/4''. Bars are fine. It has all new tie rod ends on it. Lubed everything. It just feels a lot stiffer when riding than campared to my 400EX. Maybe it is normal steering geometry, I don't know. But if I could find a problem to be fixed, that would be great.
  20. My 00' Banshee feels stiff in the steering. Everything is free and lubed and working fine. Toe is good. When the front end is off the ground steering is free and easy. But when riding, it is like steering a utility atv. Now this is my first Banshee and this is comparing to a 400ex that I also own. The 400's front end is very light feeling and light to steer. It is the only thing I have to compare to. Is this just the way that a Banshee steers or is there something that I can do to help? If this is not common to a Banshee, would a slightly bent frame cause this. I have stood her up on the rear grab bar before and looked at the frame. It appears to be straight but it is hard to tell by looking becasue of the way it is made. There are no obvious sighns of frame damage as far as bends or cracks. The lower left a-arm has a small ding in it, but nothing major. Just wondering what you guys think. Thanks.
  21. Just want to see if any of you have run into this before. Bought a new Pro Armor rear swing arm skid plate off of e-bay from a dealer. It still has the sticker on it marked for a Banshee. Hold it in your hand and it looks like it would bolt right up. But, try to put it on, not going to happen. It won't fit. The parts that run vertical that you would bolt on don't fit between the mounts on the swing arm. If you kind of line up the front bolt holes, the rear mounting holes are like a couple of inches to far back. The chain guide has to come to get it even close and then the lower suspsion link starts to hit the plate and it would rub the chain so bad that I think it would eat right through the plate in no time flat. Any of you run into this problem with a Pro Armor skid plate before? It is like it is close, but not close enough. Maybe it was made wrong or labled wrong? Any easy mounting cures for this if you have run into this before? I have sent an e-mail to the seller to see if I can return it but I have not heard back yet.
  22. Hey thanks for posting those for me. Maybe oneday I will learn how to post pics on here. I still need to do a little clean up on the rough cuts but it is really not needed. Just something I would like to do. Still can't believe how much better those tires are now.
  23. Finished cutting the tires. Got a chance to take her for a quick little play run down the side of the tracks near my house. BIG difference in the tires. They will grab now where all they would do before is just spin on top of the ground. Now I can set back on the seat and pull the front end off the ground with no problems. Before, no matter what I did, they would just spin and would not even pick up the front an inch off of the ground. They are still very easy to break loose and slide, do a quick and tight 180 turn, or just what ever. But now they bite when I want them too. I softened the compression on the rear two clicks and they did even better. Over all, very happy with the end result. It kept me from spending money on new tires that I don't have right now.
  24. Well I finnished cutting one tire. Took some pictures but I guess I am just stupid when it comes to trying to post pictures on here. I will try it again later. I ended up taking every angled nob off of the tire. And cut every third nob out of the center row. That way I now have a double stack, One behind the other, or pairs of nobs all over the tire. It gives good space between the nobs and it should be able to bite well now. The angled nobs were really close to the others and pretty much blocked the flat face of the nob behind it. Now they should have room to grab the ground. That is my thinking anyway. Guess I will find out for sure when I ride it. I will try to post the pictures again later.
