Ok im doing a top end rebuild, i know this is ganna sound silly but can you do this with the motor in and just removing the gas tank for some room ?? My bike is STOCK, so if i order the wiseco piston kit 64 mm that would be the right size for a stock engine, correct??? (Dont worry ill be getting a clymers Manual!!) Thxs for any help!!!!

It depends why you are doing a rebuild. If you blew a cylinder you might want to wait to order the pistons. You can do a topend with the engine installed.

yeah doing a top-end with the engine is no problem at all. Im doing it right now also, just make sure everything is clean before you take it apart. If i were you i would take the tank and front fenders off to make it easier. Just take your time and you will be set! good luck man

A topend is easily done with the motor in the chassis. Usually I remove the topend, determine the size piston I will need, have the cylinders honed or bored as needed, and then reassemble. You can not inspect the bore to know if it needs a oversize until you remove the cylinders.
