kickstart mod

i know the kickstarter in notorious for rattling but now mine wont stay in at all, just flops around. i read once of a DIY mod you can do but can't find it, has anyone done/perfected it? thanks

its probably just the spring on the inside of the case. but maybe someone else can give u better input.

you probably need to take it apart and clean it out, new little spring and ball,a dn then if it stille rattles, go to a machineshop and get a cone shaped spring to go on top of the kicker post to keep tension on it.

thats what i did and no rattle whatsoever for a few months now

RMATV sells kick starter rebuild kits but they dont last to long. I bout one and it worked great at first but after a few rides it was rattling again.
