Frogger Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 this is my go fast bike only. have a raptor for the bs riding so im looking for best performance I know you can't go wrong with shears or t5's. If it's just your go fast bike I would go with shears. Or maybe even CPI's. Quote
krauss4 Posted February 26, 2008 Author Report Posted February 26, 2008 i dont like the looks of cpi s so thats not an option Quote
man27 Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I think the T6'S are for a stock machine so I think either would be an improvment. The T5'S are a awsome sounding pipe, I bought a set for my bike but the pro circiuts I have out performed the T5'S so gave them to my cousin. The shear's are a great pipe I've heard, I'm going too buy a set when I get enough money and try them, I heard they add another 5hp. So I 'll tell you this it don't matter about the type of pipe it's all about your mods.... Quote
rhuebner Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I love my shearers, they sure hit hard on the top end. Quote

91tsiawd Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I think the shearers are the best choice for you. I have a set on my 4mil Dune port Banshee with 35mm PWK's and the pipes scream up top. At first I thought my jetting was off which made me think the pipes were top end only, that was untill I tried a 2 into 1 pipe and lost a lot of my top end and gained very little down low due to the jetting still being off. Once the jetting was corrected the bike screamed through most of the RPMs with the Shearers (even had most of my low end back). I've never tried the T5's, but everyone says the shearers are the best top end pipe, and with what very little I lost down low the shearers made up for up top. The only down side is the lack of quality in the chrome finish. Just my $0.02. Quote

spike Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 shearer for sure! they are cheaper too  Quote
shanYE west Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Shearers would probably be the best pipe for your application.. But.. Like someone else said before.. The chrome finish is junk.. And I dont have anything good to say about the fit. I had to use about 7 washers to shim out the left pipe to keep it from hitting the head. Best bet is to buy a set bare and take them to your own chrome shop. T-5 have great chrome and they fit great. Quote
shanYE west Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 I love my shearers, they sure hit hard on the top end. Not trying to sound like a ass but.. I dont suppose you could down size your sig pic a bit? Quote
dajogejr Posted February 26, 2008 Report Posted February 26, 2008 Old sheaerer production chrome (nickel based) was hit and missed. Since then....Matt has changed chromers and no longer offers production chrome. It's show chrome or bare metal, and the show chrome is very good quality. Quote
krauss4 Posted February 27, 2008 Author Report Posted February 27, 2008 wheres the cheapest place to get shears pipes Quote
