What tires will hookup the best in the snow? I know nothing is going to go very well, but what is the best that can be done?

4Snow's seem to be the only ones if seen. you could stud your tires but that wont be any good for fluffy snow.

he beat me too it. 4sno is what you need. these 2 ply bitches expand and dig like a V

they definitley aint no paddle.... im actually half surprised i ont see mre duners running them

My dads got a set he uses for sand. I like pro wedge 2's better though, the ribs dont fold over as bad.

Pro Edge II are the best tires for snow Ive try. 4snow are pretty good too

Why do you like the Pro Wedges better for snow? I figured the 4 snows would be the better choice because of the compound and the way they expand diffrently over the PW IIs. Ill definatly take your advice being a great rider from Canada and all.

That's ust the answer I was looking for guys! I've been looking at the 4-Snows, and doubting them and thnking that sand tires would be better. It looks like I'll be getting a set before long. Holeshots should work fine on the front shouldnt they? Or would it be worth getting some sand tires for the front?

it would be the other way around, ive always wondered that. Havent had either in snow.

 

 

Oh the answer to your question for the front I think would be okay. Thats about what I got on mine,

the 4 snows and prowedges work better than paddles because they change shape. have you ever looked at your front tires in 6th gear?

Oh ok. Gotcha. No never looked at the front tire in 6th, usually making sure im not going to run into something. Theres a lot of obstacles where I ride.

try and go with a skinnier front tire as well. makes for a bit less resistance so the bike will roll easier.

I never used or ever saw the snow tires around where i live. i have new razr's on mine and they suck ass in the snow! A friend of mine just got some Vampires and i couldn't believe how well they hooked up! while i was stuck on flat ground he was climbing hills with ease! i know when i get a new set of tires it's gonna be Vampires, they have some wicked lugs and he never gets stuck. there's a pic on here somewhere that Blessedwithdeath posted, he has them on his too, check them out! :beer:
