Well, I finally got to take the shee out for a real riding weekend. The weather at Sand Lake was great, and shee ran really strong. I have the 30mm oko carbs and the have a 155 main, 50 pilot, and the needle on the third clip. Just took a guess on that jetting from reading other posts and it got me real close. The only problem I am having is at WOT shee kinda dies out. Is this a little too rich condition and need to bring my main down a size or two. The plugs have a mocha color to them and are a little wet. When I say little, I mean very little. Thanks guys for the help.

I forgot to tell you it only does it in the last two gears. You can really feel it in sixth. One thru four are no problems what so ever. Thanks for the help...

You could probably back it down one notch and pick up a bit of power, but your definately in the safe range off of what your describing. This only happens at full throttle, right?

Only at full throttle. When I was doing some of the tree shots, I never got out of 2nd, but was on the throttle pretty hard. It ran strong and kept the wheels turning. On the flats when I would get in 5th or 6th and run WOT it would hesitate. It almost felt like a governer on a car. It is definetly not going to ruin my day if I can only go 85 vs. 90 or whatever.

If it dies off and seems hesitant with no burbling, then I would tend to think you are lean. What do the plugs look like if you were to ride balls out in 5th gear and held it wot for 5 seconds then shut it off? Wet would mean rich.

I am taking it out this weekend, hopefully. I will take it WOT and hit the kill switch and do a plug chop. If the plug is dry, I will then know it is a little rich in the pilots. Getting these things dialed in kind of a process, but well worth it in the end I would imagine.. I will keep you posted..

I had a dune port with the 30mm carbs and when I ran here on the OR coast I was about the same on the main but ran a smaller pilot. Before I ever had the 30's(stockers) I would have damp plugs but it was because of to big a pilot. You might try to drop it down one size on the pilot and go to a 160 on the main and see how that works. Just throwing out ideas.

What gearing are you running?

I went out this weekend and I changed some jets around. The top ended up being a little lean. I ran the WOT and the plugs were dry, just tooling around at 1/4 throttle and they were wet. I had originally put in a 155 and it ran better with a 160. The pilot ended up being a little rich. Had a 50 in it and went down to a 45. Shee runs like a rapped ape now, no hesitations at all. Thanks for all your help!! This site rocks!!!
