droc89 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 I have a 95 banshee with 4mm stroker crank/longer rods .030 bore dual carbs. I am unable to accelerate off idle. As soon as i hit the throttle even when warmed up it bogs like it is out of time the carbs have been cleaned and rejetted numurous times. The coil has been replaced. the stator has been replaced and nothing seems to help. The cdi has been replaced also if anyone has any ideas please email me at [email protected] or just post a reply Quote
BaNsHeeJuNkEy Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 post what is done what you have for carbs and what jets and needles are in them for us to help you. also elevation and temp. but if it is bogging that sounds like to rich to me. Quote
gentner8 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Posted February 5, 2008 (edited) Once its warmed up, turn the choke back on. If it gets better your running lean on the pilot, if its worse your already too rich. Any chance of an air leak somewhere throwing your jetting off? Edited February 5, 2008 by gentner8 Quote
droc89 Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 (edited) jetting is as follows 210 mains needle on middle slot unsure of pilot carbs are factory Even after warming up it still does the bogging thing. I tried the choke thing and that didnt seem to affect it much. which from what i know it means that jetting is close. I also checked the system for air leaks and didnt find anything. thanks for the post any other ideas. also it idles just fine on its own dont have to hit the throttle or anything to keep it running. elevation is around 5500 i live in wyoming so thats about right. I've over oiled the filters before which made it run choppy. Edited February 15, 2008 by Frogger Quote
banjobob Posted February 17, 2008 Report Posted February 17, 2008 Did it happen after cleaning the carbs or just all of a sudden? Quote
