yamaha04 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 ok guys im looking for some info, i made a leakdown tester useing the how to guide RNBrad had on here awhile ago and i just can find anything to use as plugs to plug my intake and exhaust. has anyone tried anything else out there to plug there port off that's air tight? post some pics give me some wacky ideas. i have spent about 3 hours grooming the hardware stores around here looking for something but just can find the perfect piece. http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...5&hl=rnbrad Quote
Lepew Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 For the intake use a peice of round steel rod the right dia to fit in the carb boots and cut a couple of 3/4 slices off it. Drill thru and tap one to accept a barb fitting. The exhaust I use two expanding rubber plugs from the local hardware store. Quote
dajogejr Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Home Depot has 'em...the exhaust plugs. Look over by where you'd buy the rubber chair leg thingies... They slide over the chair leg not to mar a wood floor, etc. I think the Inside Diameter of the exhaust is roughly 45mm or so...if that helps. Quote
Dave I. Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Here is the one i made. The pipe is 1 1/4" schedule 40 sprinkler pipe from hope depot. It it tight in 35mm intakes. The exhaust plugs were the 1 1/2" from auto zone. Quote

So....he uses XXXXL But plugs....batteries not included. Quote
yamaha04 Posted February 2, 2008 Author Report Posted February 2, 2008 ok thanks guys i know what to do now for my intaks i just got to find some of them plugs for the exhaust. thanks again guys. Quote
peak-j Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 On the exhaust side I use a short piece of radiator hose and clamped a freeze plug or soft plug in the end then clamped to the exhaust port. Quote
