sheerocks
Can any machine shop lighten the flywheel. I'm getting ready to put the adjustable timing plate on and wanted to have the flywheel lightened while I have it off.

Just make sure it seems like the machine shop knows what they are doing. :geek:
sheeblue01
What kind of gains can I expect from having my flywheel lightened???
04titanse
What kind of gains can I expect from having my flywheel lightened??? it wont be huge gains. it will be snappier and rev faster. but it will also loose rpm faster and could slightly harder to start. nothing to worry about but just giving you the facts. Less rotational mass = faster rev and a little more power Less rotational mass = less inertia which = losing revs faster between shifts/a little easier to stall at low rpms overall it would be worth it if you know a local machine shop that is capable. just my .
