peeksville Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 When I pull out the choke to try to start it up, it doesn't "stick" out. It will just shoot back in. Also, sometimes when it does stick and it starts up - - it doesnt seem to affect it with like the high idle and what not. Anything I can do to fix? Quote
inthemail Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 if it helps, mine doesnt stick anymore either.... i just blip around with my hand holding it out untill shee's warm then forget about it  Quote
okbeast Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 You can unscrew it and try a new o-ring, but i had to just swap out another choke "stick" thing to get it to work. Quote
foxracing350 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 mine doesnt stick either i just hold it Quote
gumby6t9 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Mine did this also, I replaced the o-ring and it is back to normal now. Quote
joneser4u Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 yep, i have to hold mine out to. no problem for me. Quote
LS1Inferno Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 There is a little metal clip that goes on the end that screws in under the rubber seal. I just am too lazy to buy a new clip i just hold it. Quote
FireHead Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Mine did this also, I replaced the o-ring and it is back to normal now. You can either do that or buy a new choke knob assembly from Yamaha...........they're like $20. Sometimes the o-ring doesn't fix it if the detents are worn out. :geek: Quote
wacko2000 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Mine has been like that for the past 2 years, I just hold it out...No biggie.. I have looked into replacing it ad the cheapest Ive found it for is $33...I rather spend the money somewhere else on the shee... Quote
