I know ill be putting like 100-200 studs in the fronts just wondering about the rears? 100 spread out in the center of the rears?? and none on the sides or just a few on the sides? sorry about all the questions, thanks in advance!!

I used to Ice race my LT250R and I put 4 screws on the outside of each thread if you see what I mean Holeshots. I put 1 in everyother row for side control. Just make sure your not spitting them all over everybody it kind of pisses people off

I've been racin on the ice for a log time in alaska where the season is 7-8 months long and have tried many tires with many screw patterns. what tires are u running??? if u r running cheng shin's put one stud on every knob, front and rear and double up on the outside and inside line of the fronts. If u r running any other kind of tire the best thing ive found is put a stud everywere you can on the rears up to one every square inch and straight lines on the front. that will get u good traction, "slide out of the rear end" is wrong, what you want to acheive is a controlled powerslide just exagerated.

hope that helps ya

okay im running some holeshots in the back and stock dunlops in the front. I bought some 8 x 1/2inch sheet metal screws today and do you guys think they will work good or should i step up to the bigger 10 x 1/2 inchers? Just so they stay in the tires is what im worried about. thanks for all they help guys

I used Gold Max screws with Cheng Chin C826 tires when I ran on the ice about 15 years ago. I don't know which are the best now. I am not sure if standard sheet metal screws will work very well  . You may need something with a high crown, like these...

You may want to check with the track you will be racing at, it may have certain criteria for screws and/or tires, as well as bumpers, nerf bars, etc.
