Bansh-eman Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 the hotrods bearing is fine for the other side. if your rebuilding a stocker either go TZ or maxload. Quote
dajogejr Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 TZ on the PTO side is a good idea....if you have the cabbage, TZ on both ends is nice. But you're fine with an OEM or maxload on the stator side as well.... Quote
dajogejr Posted December 3, 2007 Report Posted December 3, 2007 Power side of the crank (Power Take Off). The majority of the stress on the crank is on the clutch side, it is the side that transferrers power via gears to the clutch, to the transmission. The other side only spins a flywheel to create spark/energy. Quote
4stroker Posted December 4, 2007 Author Report Posted December 4, 2007 thanks for the replies guys where is the best place to get tz bearings from, i wanna put em all the way across... thanks, mark Quote
4stroker Posted December 4, 2007 Author Report Posted December 4, 2007 just going off the pictures i can see on ebay, it doesnt look like the aftermarket bearings (max load, wiseco..) have the little pips on them to stop them spinning in the case. is this right? if so, is it a problem? when people say they put tz250 bearings in, are they a genuine yamaha part? thanks again, mark Quote
Aussie Quad Racer Posted December 4, 2007 Report Posted December 4, 2007 (edited) no the pins are not essential, use a high quality japanese made bearing in a c3 grade and you will be fine consult your local bearing shop. If you have a guy building your crank he should know whats best, talk to him. Edited December 4, 2007 by Aussie Quad Racer Quote
seabass Posted December 5, 2007 Report Posted December 5, 2007 (edited) Where's the best place to get TZ's? How are the All Balls bearings? Can you get a complete kit with all the bottom end seals? Thanks for any info. Edited December 5, 2007 by seabass Quote
