100LL Av Gas

what do you think i can pull. i wouldnt mind giving up some down low for top end.. what is your input.

wel first off with just 010 off your stock head you are wasting your money running 100llav gas , you would be better off running 93 . i would stay with a 14 -41 if it was me , it really depends on what your gona be doing and what size rear tires your gona run

i am running 15/41 with 22" tires. mods in sig

first gear can be a little fast in tight and/or rough trails. you need to let it rev in 5th before you shift to 6th otherwise it might not stay in the powerband right away.

you get used to it quick tho.

i like it now that im used to it

I'm running 15/42 with my bike and love having use of all the gears. With my mods I have use of 1st some of the time but the bike is nasty fast and tops out around 80. At times I wish I had a little less porting.

My mods are in my sig, I'm running 14/40 with 22's and I love it. I like having a little more leg between gears but not too much top end (where can u actually get to 80 mph). I think 15/41 is a bit high for me.

running gas with a higher octane than is required, in most cases, produces less power.

I have 15/41 on mine and some gears are a bit long winded towards the top end but i ride all sand so i pretty much just use 1-4 or 2-4 when racing.

That is true.....you want to run the lowest posible octane (without pinging) to get the most power. Higher octane fuel burns cleaner, helps emissions.........and costs way more. Now if you end up advancing the timing greatly......+7 or more, you might want to run the higher octane, but other than that.......keep it simple and reliable, and save yourself some money.....run 93.

My bike runs better with Avgas. Revvs higher and pulls harder. Beat all the Banshees today, especially up top.

I'm running 15/41 and use 6th gear on 20" tires. I've been using that gearing when all I had was pipes, reeds and filter (lid on). I do mostly trails and dirt roads but also ride sand quarries and dirt drag. I'll admit, it is a little overgeared in the soft sand but I manage. Hope this helps. Good luck.
