2strokespirit Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 Are there a website where I can look at the cheetah cylinders? Do they still make them? What bore sizes are they available in and do you get the cylinders for a stock stroke? Why are they not very popular, because of the price tag? Thank You Quote

If you took the same amount of money and did the same mods respectively to each cylinder(cub and powervalve) wouldn't they be the same in quickness?? Quote
duneloon Posted November 11, 2007 Report Posted November 11, 2007 If you are looking to buy check out the 4mm top end in the for sale section. They come with the valves, and he is letting them go for a very nice price. With powervalves you will get more bottom than any cub will ever think of having( yes a cub can be set up for lower power but it will kill the top). As for cubs vs cheetahs most drag motors get the powervalves blocked off. So as long as it is the same bore and stroke there is very little diff. asside from larger intakes. It is all going to come down to set up! Quote
Ruko Posted November 12, 2007 Report Posted November 12, 2007 I have a 485 Cheetah with valves right out of the box, and a buddy of mine has a 421 Cub with some extra porting. In a drag race we are pretty well even so our peak hp should be close but I have tonns of bottom end while he has none, for just riding around mine is way nicer... If you mostly drag race or just like the light switch feel of the big hit on top (which is also pretty cool) go for Cubs, but if you want smooth power with all the top end too then go with power valves. zach45 Posted November 13, 2007 Report Posted November 13, 2007 the powervalve should have a better powerband tho.. more mid and low then a cub right? Quote
