magiksc Posted October 29, 2007 Report Posted October 29, 2007 So I want to get the rear of my shee to handle better, so I was thinking of revalving it and then getting a spring from TCS. Is the rear shock worth reworking? And I weigh 185 lbs what spring should I get from TCS? My riding style is fast and hard but mainly dunes. Quote
Ruko Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 The rear shock is definately rebuildable. I had mine done by Shane and it works great but I don't think he is around any more... haven't heard from or about him in a while. I've heard lots of good things about TCS so I'm sure they could hook you up. Quote
ranshee Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 The stock rear shock on a banshee is not a bad shock at all. You can have it re valved and sprung for your weight. A good shop to have it done at is precision concepts in SD. Have a few friends that have done this and love it. Quote
magiksc Posted November 2, 2007 Author Report Posted November 2, 2007 Thanks for the input, What spring rate should I be running if I weigh 185lbs? Quote
ranshee Posted November 2, 2007 Report Posted November 2, 2007 (edited) Not sure what spring you'd be running. precision concepts. contact these guys. Edited November 2, 2007 by ranshee Quote

I haven't been around HQ in awhile because the flamers really got to me. We tried to give a little back to Lee by sponsoring the suspension forum and it wasn't a good experience. Contact us at [email protected] or (219)313-1424. Thanks, Shane Quote
Shane Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 wow !! how much would it be to revalve one ?? Just revalving is not an option on the Banshee rear shock. A re-build & re-spring on that shock is between $300. and $400. depending on what kind of riding you do and the equipment you run. With the Banshee the biggest benefit you'll get from a rebuild is traction. These bikes have so much explosive power that it is hard to transfer that to the ground. Shane Quote
kawiking Posted November 30, 2007 Report Posted November 30, 2007 id rather have a marvin shaw for that price, thats why i strut mine when i drag race . Quote
