The muffler is what decides what the exhaust will sound like. If you want more info on exhausts go to www.gmfullsize.com it's a forum just like this but for GM trucks and SUV's Quote

Handyman Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 yeah i know i go to fullsizechevy.com but to lazy to really post anything lol and how would itnot be louder if i vut my exhaust off You want to cut the pipe right....if that's what you are talking about the sound will not change...The muffler..the big fat thing under the passenger side.... is what makes the sound of the exhaust. the pipe just carries the exhaust fumes to the rear of the truck. BigRed350x Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 I agree. Keep your exhaust on. Don't be a tool. Guys like that get pulled over around here for being tards with no exhaust and thinking they are "cool" Keep it on. Quote
theshee Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 If you want more noise, do it right and get an exhaust system. I have dual out rear magnaflow on my truck and it sounds nice, low, deep and clean. Thats what I would do if I were you. Quote

Some people just have their exhaust fall off on farm roads around there too.................. Quote
Dave I. Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 I love the LS based plateform but they sound like ass with or without exhaust...but dont make it any worse than it needs to be. Quote

RZBansheeMan Posted October 25, 2007 Report Posted October 25, 2007 Cutting the muffler off will only have you looking like a high school dipshit, and there is nothing worse than seeing newer vehicles that sound like derby cars. My muffler of choice is the good ole' Flowmaster, but the Magna's sound great too, just do it once and do it right. A good friend of mine just bought a brand new Grand Prix "GPX" and that has the 5.3 in it and yes it is front wheel drive. It sounds good but is kind of odd hearing a FWD car rumble like a truck does, especially when your getting after it. Quote
Michael Jackson Posted October 26, 2007 Report Posted October 26, 2007 wow, 300hp v8 in a front wheel drive?? wonder how many people drove them off the road through the corners, hahah Quote
