I have started doing motor work to my bike and now need a new clutch. My quad now has no where near 90hp that is said to be needed for a lockup...but maybe only 60hp, but i plan on many more upgrades and port work to one day be close to that 90hp. So my question is, because i need a clutch now should i buy the lockup clutch and case and run it with only the 60hp as opposed to buying a racing clutch then having to put in a lockup down the road. So can you even run a lockup with low hp, also how does a lock up work? It looks like it uses weights to create centrifugal force to lever down on the clutch plates, is that even close?

tusk clutch, atf type f tranny fluid, 6 heavy duty spring with that tusk clutch and an easy pull lever. will work great.

save your money unless your looking for bling.

put a F.A.S.T clutch in from jeff with heavy springs will do you just fine. been running mine for one whole season know with no problems.just make sure you have it adjusted right

im not sure what its like, but i would think riding with a lockup would be shitty unless you actually need it.

lockup cover is pretty cool lookin though.

What he said. Its kinda hard to beat for 50 bucks. I've been running them in my bikes for awhile now with no problems at all.

I have a lockup on my bike and only difference I can tell about it is

my clutch doesnt slip at all. Im not saying that it would slip without

the lockup on my current set up. Its an extra 400 bucks and you get

a quick change cover so you dont have to pull the whole side off

and that means draining your coolant too.

While you're in there, might as well get a new inner hub, pressure

plate, upgrade the basket and install a pankcake bearing on

the adjuster.
