i have just ordered the programmable cdi and programmable power valve controller for my rz shee from zeeltronic www.zeeltronic.com

does anyone know how i might go about finding a suitable ignition curve to use as a base map to start with?

anyone created any of their own curves, wether it be for vortex, dyna tek etc etc...

thanks, mark.

I'm not for sure Mark, but I think Borut has 4 maps already in the VCDI. As for the power valves, I think you would want to know what rpm your pipes come on, then maybe program the valves to come on with them.

I think you can change the rpm the valves start to open at and are fully open at. I could be wrong, but I would think you would want the valves fully open at the same time the pipe hits.

I don't have any experience with these yet, but are on my grocery list for my project "RZ Banshee"

I dont know, but soon I am going to get these myself. Did you buy the handheld controller to program them?

i sure did

im going to have to talk to my engine porter about the powervalve curve, maybe he will have an idea on the best ignition curve to run as well

with the PV controller i can grind the exhaust ports higher and tell the valves to open higher, while still closing in standard position for lower revs, or even lower than stock if i want

its gonna be fun!

what!

of course its going to run, why wouldnt it!

the cdi comes with 5 curves including stock rz, as does the pv controller, so that will give me something to work on..

its going to be fun! gonna try and book a day on the dyno to play with everything once i got it all on!

thats pretty cool, you could actually control the bandwidth of your powerband hit with your powervalves to some degree I would imagine. Take the hard hit of the powerband away for woods type riding, and then have the powerband completely open up for when you rev it out.

Definitely a cool thing to be able to play with
