shee4speed Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 The book says to torque it to 65LBS. What do you guys recommend? By the way (bansheman),I got a new one today. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 right on! like i said before i dont torque anything but the headbolts and the 8 bolts on the jugs... everything else i jst tighten till it feel good. something i want to ensure dosent come loose drop a dab of loctite... but its up to you to do it that way or torque them... shee4speed Posted September 21, 2007 Author Report Posted September 21, 2007 I'm thinking this wnot need loctite cuz of the lockwasher. Quote
Bansh-eman Posted September 21, 2007 Report Posted September 21, 2007 nah that one doesnt but for other bolts you need it... like i said i dont torque anything but the head and cylinder bolts.. so far no issues Quote

dragbanshee Posted September 22, 2007 Report Posted September 22, 2007 I do have an impact. What setting is good? 1-4. yea just be easy with that impact, iused one to take mine off , and it tried to cross thread on me. had to use thread file on shaft. good luck! Quote
shee4speed Posted September 23, 2007 Author Report Posted September 23, 2007 I bumped it on with level one and am calling it good. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted September 24, 2007 Report Posted September 24, 2007 I bumped it on with level one and am calling it good. Torqued mine to 66lbs, used the proper tool to hold the Boss in place (Clamped it on, and let it press into the workbench while I cranked the bolt to spec. Quote
RoostRocket Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 since were on the subject what size is that nut??? i couldnt find the right size impact socket i only have up to 20mm. thanks. Quote
shee4speed Posted September 25, 2007 Author Report Posted September 25, 2007 1"1/4 fits right on there. Quote
Justintoxicated Posted September 25, 2007 Report Posted September 25, 2007 1"1/4 fits right on there. 32mm's is the correct size, I don't have that large of an impact either I just picked up the single socket, as there are enough of them on the banshee to invest in the $4 for a nice craftsman socket.
