i know its off topic but its kinda banshee related..?? anyone ever have their wheel hubs stripe out off the axle? my 250r has a lonestar (i beleive) axle on it with stock wheel hubs, and it goes through them like crazy! do i need the aftermarket hubs or can i take these ones to a machine shop and have them hardend?? they are the right hubs and iam tightening the hell out of them, anyone have this problem??

That is just what I am thinking. I am having the same thing going on with my pickup. The splines on the gear where the yoke goes on the rear end. Keep on going through yokes because the splines on the gear are shot.

i'm not a mechanic by any means... but one thing you might try (if your axle splines are bad too) just take one of the hubs and put it on then drill through it and through the axle then put a bolt in it. not sure how feasible it is but it might be worth a try.

AND IF SOMEBODY COMES ON HERE AND SAYS IT ISN'T SAFE OR IT WON'T WORK I WOULD BE INCLINED TO LISTEN TO THEM SINCE AS I STATED BEFORE "I AM NOT A MECHANIC".
