440 EX 120 MPH?

My friend has a 400 ex. He said he is having his "builder" build it into a machien taht runs jet fuel and it will beat my banshees ass with no problem.. he said he is running klotz gas.. does he know what hes talking about?

hell no!! tell him he better get racing glow plugs to keep up with that jet fuel he's gonna use since its pretty much glorified diesel...

anyway on a more serious note I dont think that even a well built 440 ex can take a basic pipe/filter shee. so dont worry you'r not in danger :biggrin:

I think your friend is drinking the jet fuel and putting the Kool-Aid in his fuel tank. If your friend thinks jet fuel and aviation fuel are the same, he or she is wrong. Jet A, A-1, and JP-8 are kerosine based while Jet B and JP-4 are a blend of gasoline and kerosine. It's not gonna happen.....

Yeh dont worry to much, 400ex's are about the most unfast bikes out there, I had one until 2 weeks ago, it was my wifes who is to scared to get out of 3rd on my shee and she said the 400 wasnt fast enough so we traded for a shee.

There is a fuel that they run in planes called av-gas. It s like 120 octane and the sell it at some airports. This u can run in your bike. The fuel they are talkin about is like jp-5 or jp-8. Thats what some jet engines run. We run it in our Cobra and Huey helicopters. He still isnt smokin you. Even if he had a "hyper drive" on that pooch.

Sorry man but if your stock and he has a decent runnig 440ex I think he will beat you.You need some Pipes and Filters so you will never ever loos to a 400ex

Tell him to add some hydrogen peroxide to the fuel. Then maybe he will have a chance.
