OnlyA2Stroke Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I will be getting an Aggressive Dune Port on my standard bore cylinders with some Wiseco Pro-Lites. My mods and jetting before the porting is in my sig. I am running a tad rich on the main. Should I change anything or just wait and do a plug chop? My stock pistons were a lil black on top, covering the middle to about 1/2" to the edge all the way around the pistons. Quote
shee4speed Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 I 'm not sure on the jetting. Who is doing the port? Quote
Michael Jackson Posted September 3, 2007 Report Posted September 3, 2007 the people porting your cylinders should be able to tell you a good starting point for your jetting, with your other mods, everyones "dune port" would be different iom sure, theres no 2 alike, im sure you will have to fatten it up of course, after all what would be the point in porting if u dont burn more fuel? more fuel + more air = more power Quote
OnlyA2Stroke Posted September 4, 2007 Author Report Posted September 4, 2007 (edited) RB Racing is doing the porting. I just want to know how many sizes different they had to change on the mains, pilots, and did you have to adjust the needle? I know I will have to do a plug chop. But around how much did everyone else's jetting change when they received their Dune Port or somethin similar? Edited September 4, 2007 by OnlyA2Stroke Quote
00tbanshee Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 the guys doing the porting will beable to tell you what you need but i say just go to 340 mains and keep everything else the same if you would like you could put a 30 pilot in but the 25 will work just fine. this is all if you are running the stock carbs. OnlyA2Stroke Posted September 4, 2007 Author Report Posted September 4, 2007 i am gonna keep my dynojet needles on 3rd from blunt end and going with 27.5 on the pilots. I have a set of 340's but I might get a few different other sizes to be safe. Just wanted a starting point with a K&N filter w/ proflow and no lid. Quote
MDS2106 Posted September 4, 2007 Report Posted September 4, 2007 With K&n pods and R&B dune port i ran 360 mains at sea level. It was a little on the rich side... Quote
OnlyA2Stroke Posted September 5, 2007 Author Report Posted September 5, 2007 With K&n pods and R&B dune port i ran 360 mains at sea level. It was a little on the rich side... Alright, I was on the rich side a bit with the 320 mains with my mods listed below and I was a bit on the rich side to be safe. My piston tops were a lil black and I think that is when I was runnin 2 jets to lean. I will grab 330's and 340's. Thanks. Quote
BansheeKid15 Posted September 5, 2007 Report Posted September 5, 2007 I would think 340's would be a little lean, try the 360 first. i would hate to hear that something happened from running lean. Quote

I will take your word for it. I will pick up a set of 350's & 360's. I will have jets from 310 - 360. I have leaner mains for sale in the For Sale Forum! Quote
sredish Posted September 11, 2007 Report Posted September 11, 2007 i say screw the dynojet needles.... they've never been worth a flip. Quote
