Boring makes the cylinder bigger and porting makes the exhaust and intakes bigger and smooth.Porting is better.

^^^yep, porting is like a cam & porting the heads on a four stroke at the same time..boring doesnt realy help unless you go really big but thats a waste imo

Porting is really about increasing air flow thru your engine. Whenever you modify the intake, the transfers & exhaust ports by the right proportions (amounts), you are going to develope more power.

When you have your stock cylinders bored out, the increased volume is so small that you don't realize that much of a power increase. There is more to be gained from proper porting.
