letsgetthisdone Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 oh, i see. everything you have is great, except the airbox....get some pod filters and clamp 'em directly onto the carbs, you'll bet more power that way... and i'd look into some better tires than stock...what kind of riding on what kind of terrain do you mostly do.. flattrakker Posted August 31, 2007 Author Report Posted August 31, 2007 ice riding.. the only tires i run on the ice are cheng shin flat track nobbies. i put 2 studs in each lug for traction. heres the tire... http://specialtytirestore.com/flat_track_knobby.htm i was looking at toomey's 2 into 1 filter minus the airbox... is that any good? bigboybanshee Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 im going to port after the top end goes. everybody is acting like i dont know what jetting is. i stated jetting is stock as the machine is also as of right now. when i mod it i will rejet the carb accordingly. The reason we are all stressing jetting is because you made it seem like those mods are on your bike already and you haven't ridden it. If you would have said something about you "plan" to get the mods, then it would have been much clearer... Quote
Snopczynski Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 If its wide open, I would put some different pipes on like cpi's or something. I would also put in like a carbon tech mid-top reeds, and get some bigger carbs for it. Quote
flattrakker Posted August 31, 2007 Author Report Posted August 31, 2007 its 100 percent stock... i just want to get my list of mods right before i buy all of them sorry for any confusion.. these mods are soon to come. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted August 31, 2007 Report Posted August 31, 2007 You got a good list of improvements, you'll notice a pretty big difference over stock. Also check into getting a lightened flywheel by someone reputable. Inexpensive and helps the bike rev quicker  Quote
RagunCajun Posted September 1, 2007 Report Posted September 1, 2007 My only recommendation for the far future is a port job with supporting mods and lightening the flywheel. Then your engine work is pretty much done unless u wont to go a drag only bike. Then i would widen the bike both front and rear with cheap aftermarket shocks. Then call it a day. For now....jet it correctly and just enjoy riding the bike. Dont worry about being faster than the other guy..... Quote
flattrakker Posted September 1, 2007 Author Report Posted September 1, 2007 i think that covers it. thanks for your input guys Quote
