wow thats pretty impressive there dj considering most people are barly hitting 80 with 10mills tapped out at jimmys 300ft track which is proven to be one of the fastest in the midwest. brant ran a 3.66 at 88mph.I dont see any stock frames with a good sized rider even pullin close to that number

yeah, I've tried gearing changes, you saw the post about the piston from leaning it out...etc.

I have only gotten it to go 75MPH one time, a 4.303 pass...

Every other run I do...72.5 to 74 MPH. I've tried other paddles, different gearing, etc...so, I'm no longer concerned with MPH. I'm Going for ET and working on a consistent reaction time...

For a 250LB fat kid on a stock cut frame without a wheelie bar, I'm happy.

We got a few 4 mils over here, similar setups that run pretty much the same or similar times and MPH as well...:)

so I started further back and got 83.??mph and it was still slowly accelerating but I had no more road to use. Is this normal for a stock geared bike w/ parts like mine. Im really impressed w/ how my bike runs everytime I ride it but 85 or more mph really impresses me. Id like to hear everyones imput and experiences.

aint that about 11,000 rpm with stock gearing? was there a 80mph wind behind you?

yeah no crap.. i could be way off but that seems high to me especially with stock gearing and tires, i only hit 84 in the 1/8th with 17/44 almost completely topped out on my blue bike, i might have been able to get 85 but not sure.

But i guess he didn't say just how long he was holding it wide open

with a 17 44 gear you can exceed 100 + if you have enough motor

i ran 15 40 and did 96 in the 1/8th and played with my buddys r6 and ran 115 beside him

not to bust your nuts, but theres not a snowballs chance in hell, you did 96mph with that gearing, unless your banshe will pull sixth gear at 10,800 rpm, or your tires are 24"s tall

just so we are all on the same page..................http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/banshee.htm

115? not with 15 40 gears. physically impossible.

kinda hard to prove.unless we were at a quarter mile track.you see i have done all gearing experiments on 8th and quarter mile tracks a 15 tooth front will not get you 100 mph.we have been through this year in and year out.wether it is next your buddies r6. or his turbo fiesta.it is not happening.take your bike to an asphalt track. you will be surprised.
