all of a sudden when my banshee is idling it sounds like ive got the throtte mashed...not sure if i got some mud or sand in it or what

pull your carb slides out (providing you cable is ok) & clean them & if that doesn't fix it, check for air leaks before running it to long

Does it feel like the throttles sticking or does it just not want to calm down? If you let it sit for about 30 seconds will it finally get to idle? If the cleaning the carbs doesnt fix this, and your sure they are adjusted right, it sounds lean to me = air leak. When its too lean it doesnt want to calm down to idle right off bat, but instead keep up the rpms for a while..

Yep check the intake boots, mine did the same thing. It reved high and wouldnt idle down.

nah, it sounds like he may have a slide stuck open. They are kinda known for that. Guessing he does not have the TORS system on??

lube your cable real good, if that doesnt do it then check for air leaks, and then clean the slides if it still does it
