Hello guys im lookin to get a banshee and found a 98 yellow and gray banshee. Has bore kit to 377cc, new pipes and new tires.... the guy is asking 2 grand... good buy?

377 would mean its been bored .090. You only have one bore left on those jugs before they need to be sleeved or replaced. What kind of pipes and tires, what else.

Depends...shop around in your area with a tradin times, bike trader, online, Craig's list...etc.

 

That's an average deal around here....

 

Just to make sure...did he say anything about a stroker crank in it? That could change things.

Stu...I think a stock bore or .020 with a 4 mil is about that....not 100% certain on that, and I'm too lazy to do the math.

 

As said, what all does it include...and does it compare with others in your locale in similar condition.

 

Out west if that bike is somewhat clean, it's a steal!!

post some pictures if you can. here in the midwest i can buy nice banshees all day for 1500 to 2000 bucks with plenty of mods.

I just drove past the place it was for sale and isnt there.... Either he sold it or its inside cuz its been raining! Anyways i have found another one im very interested in. This is what he has listed on the 01 banshee, this is a different shee.

 

"Extras are Toomey t-5 exhaust, delta v-force reeds, white brothers boost bottle, intake has been ported and polished, after market handle bars, 10 hours on fresh top end (cylinders were professionaly honed no boring required) New Wiseco Pistons. Shee runs Like a champ. All she needs is some new tread."

 

He wants around 2500 for it what you guys think? Sounds like a great deal to me... thanks

Well he should not be polishing the intake. Thats for exhaust.

i don t know where you are located, but for 2500 from a private owner i could get one worked suspended , widened with a ton of aftermarket. look on craigslist and e bay local to you. 2 weeks ago i got 2 for 2500 from dirtbikez an hq member. shop around when looking for a personal rider. the 2 i got for 2500 were delivered also.

I found a 05 Le Banshee with extras for 2700 and the 50 year old dude sold it on me. He wanted me to talk to my bro about selling his raptor and i went to get back with him he told me he sold it........
